Tied between Die Hard and Halloween'78.

Films would be Die Hard Franchise and Halloween 1&2 originals.

I do also remember some pornos especially when VHS and Betamax came out..I dont remember then names of the titles...but some names of the cast I still do...I remember saying damn...A theaeter in your own home now...wow!....LOL....at one time you had to have the reels and equipment and be kinda rich

Oddly enough, if we're counting all-the-way back to childhood ... The Care Bears Movie probably makes the list, too. My sister got a vote in between Star Wars viewings.
Y'know something, that one might also be in my top 10 for the same reason. That one and the sequel. That, the Shaggy Dog, and Annie are all she wanted to watch.

Thinking back, much of my geekdom goes back to the movies we had on Betamax--we had the Star Wars movies, Superman, Ghostbusters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Muppet Movies (and Muppet Shows my parents taped), as well as various Marvel superhero cartoons from Lionel's Playworld that I loved.

ANH or ESB. I literally burned out a copy of ESB on VHS and my ANH was beyond any amount of tracking (how many people are old enough to remember tracking?) could help. Got a second set of the trilogy that I steadily watched till DVD. Watched those for years and in just the last few months that I have had the Harmy trilogy I have watched ANH and ESB about 5 times each.

Yeah, kids today don't know the horrors of tape degradation. I vividly remember the feeling when my Beastie Boys "License to Ill" cassette tape broke from using it too much.

The Empire Strikes Back, with Star Wars and Raider of the Lost Ark a close second and third.

As specific scenes go I'd say the battle of Hoth... I was always in awe of AT-ATs, and I still am.

Jabba's Palace/Pit of Carkoon was mostly what I would watch from Jedi.

For me, it was Die Hard 1, Batman 89 and Robocop, love matrix, TDK, SW, LOTR and so, but those 3 when I was growing up untill now, have a very special pleace.

I think are the most I´ve seen:

Or the horror when your cassette player ate your tape. I would try to repair it with scotch tape and flatten out the crinkled tape..but it just never played the same after those fiascoes. :(

:lol...we're old.

But Batty is still older :yess:

"PAUSE! PAUSE! Someone get up and hit the tracking."....:monkey2

I still remember getting a VCR that had tracking via the remote, I thought that was really the big time :lol

What is the most watched film in your whole life...for my it's John Ford's/Waynes "the Searchers"...I've seen the film at least 40 times

:clap I am right there with you. I can't even come up with a number, but the Duke is my favorite of all time. And not just The Searchers, but several John Wayne films. The Searchers is my favorite out of all of them and one of the best westerns ever made.

Then we got automatic tracking.... what a brilliant idea. It was a hell of a lot better than sitting in front of the VCR twisting a knob till there was no longer "snow" running across the screeen. :lol

I still remeber that horror you guys mentioned, Had a Robo 2 VHS tape and the VCR when i was rewinding for a second view, wrinkle all the tape:monkey4, had to go to Best buy for another one:monkey2

It's in my top 5 of all time...It pisses me off that much of our youth dont even know who this guy was or some of the old greats too...I shove it down my kids throats whenever I can

Ahh, I'll add Wizard of Oz and My Little Pony: The Movie to my list of frequently watched movies as a child. My sisters watched those. But they enjoyed B89 and I enjoyed those. We were one big happy family in those days and didn't argue apparently.

I remember working at Hollywood Video and repairing VHS tapes that customers brought in. A few years earlier, I had rented Spider-Man from Blockbuster and was horrified when it got caught in the machine while rewinding it and was relieved to hear I didn't own any money. Simple fix and very common mistake.

Later I worked at Blockbuster and we got to take a hammer to any VHS tapes that didn't sell. Quite fun.

Probably Robocop, the Jetsons movie or Carry on don't lose your head

:lol at the people posting Nolan Batman, they must be five year olds if thats what they've seen most in their lives.
