I don't think they will be making a HFR BR to be honest.

I don't see why not. Blu Ray players don't have a set framerate they can play. It's pretty much whatever goes.

I understand that but if it was coming anytime soon I'd imagine it would be in the official press release. So like I said I wouldn't count in it and besides you hated it remember.

It is. I care very deeply about filmmaking and films. I care about any new format, style, technique, regardless if I like it or not.
It's important to film fans to know these things. Because they can either become something big, or just another failure. Maybe a better filmmaker will use the technology in a rational way, and create something unique. Maybe not. We don't know.

Maybe. Maybe not. I think Jackson is a pretty decent filmmaker and from the one viewing I had he used it pretty well. Either way its no sweat off my behind. I'll be getting my 2D BR when it comes out and enjoy the HD quality at home.

I'm just wondering because I have no idea if the HFR requires any special software or tv...
I saw it twice in HFR and loved every minute of it...

It will be out on Blu before DoS comes out for sure. I expect we might get some kind of double featue of AUJ then Dos. Not sure if they'd do the EE or not though.

Yeah, the theatrical video release usually just pulled together all of the trailers, web diaries, music videos, all that kind of previously released promotional stuff all into one place. The extended release is where we got all the exclusive newly produced special features.
