Yep even JAWS had the good sense to die after three, lol.

(The movie sequels not SSF member, lol)

Predator and ALIEN are each at three in a row unless AvP counts as part of those franchises. If that's the case then Terminator still has some breathing room before claiming the throne.

Clown has a point about what was achievable back then but so what that shouldn’t dictate how you create an action scene today.

But it does because doing it old school is HARD DANGEROUS EXPENSIVE TIME CONSUMING WORK!

Insurance and production costs are much cheaper for cgi stunt men, vehicles, explosions and set pieces then it is for real stunt men, vehicles, explosions and set pieces.

Go ask Deadpool 2 producers about that dead stunt woman.

Go ask Miller about the nightmare of making Fury Road.

Enjoy your wimpy looking rubber Terminator lol

Makes me appreciate cheap ass Disney for making IX in a desert in Jordan lol.

Money? Effort? Its a big studio movie with a $150 million dollar budget. This shouldn't be amateur hour. Spend the damn money and put in the time and effort to make a movie people actually want to see. With the budget that is bigger than a small country's GDP there isn't an excuse for cutting even a single corner.

The fact is even if this turns out good where is the audience for this? The audience of the young ones who love superhero stuff will walk past this without hesitating...."My Dad liked this I think" Cameron is going for another box office let down. Good thing we are ALL waiting FOR AVATAR 2...UMMM...WAIT...UHHHH

Even Arnie has been relegated to secondary protector :lol

Actually, he's been kicked to third place behind Sarah Connor and the tall perfect female hybrid that combines the best of both, machine and WOMAN. Arnie's toxic masculinity can't be allowed near the new and improved savior of humanity, the Mexican Sarah Connor.

One thing that this trailer makes surprisingly NO effort to do is contextualize itself within the canon of T1 and T2. Think back to the first teaser for for T2 showing all the Arnolds being made on the assembly line. It was practically it's own self-contained short film just to make it obvious that there is more than one Terminator that looks like Arnold to avoid confusion as to how he can be back again.

Then the first full trailer clearly showed that Skynet sent a second Terminator to take out young John Connor himself. Aside from the twist of Arnold being good we knew exactly how T2 would connect and continue the story of T1.

But the TDF trailer has done absolutely nothing to contextualize itself or give any indication that it's a retcon of everything after T2. No, "First it went back to 1984, then 1991, and now, in 2019 the story continues..." or anything at all to suggest that this is really "Part 3." To any normal person this film plays *exactly* like a direct sequel to Genysis. Why on earth would they want to let anyone think that.

It’s been said that there will be flashbacks to events right after T2. These flashbacks will have John in them. It will be Edwards face digitally placed on another kids face.

Must have sold his rights for a pack of smokes.
