Marcia Lucas pulling no punches about what she thought of the ST, lol. These statements were made shortly after the release of TLJ but are just now being published in the new J.W. Rinzler book on film producer Howard Kazanjian:
“They have Luke disintegrate,” Lucas says. “They killed Han Solo. They killed Luke Skywalker. And they don’t have Princess Leia anymore. And they’re spitting out movies every year. And they think it’s important to appeal to a woman’s audience, so now their main character is this female, who’s supposed to have Jedi powers, but we don’t know how she got Jedi powers, or who she is. It sucks. The storylines are terrible. Just terrible. Awful. You can quote me…JJ Abrams, Kathy Kennedy — talk to me.'”

She then goes on to say that the first time she watched TPM she went out to the parking lot and literally cried in her car over how terrible it was so at least the ST didn't make her do that, lol.

what an interesting day. Marcia Lucas eviscerates the ST and the far left Shang Chi guy is a homophobe.
Well she eviscerated the ST mostly because we "don't know how Rey got her Jedi powers or who she is," both of which were answered by TROS. So I'm sure she loves it now.

She was blacklisted in Hollywood when George caught her cheating on him. He was pretty much the most powerful guy in town at that point, so the fact that his wife was out there cuckolding him hit really hard. He really did make sure she "never worked in this town again."

I can’t believe that one of her complaints was that they killed Han and Luke I mean what the hell does she want them to live to 150 and she knows very well that Ford wanted to kill Han in 83 a movie she helped make by the way so she didn’t do much better with Han, Vader, Leia and ObiWan either.

Just cause it happened doesn't mean I ever needed to see it. I'd have rather had my last glimpse of the characters I was raised on be of them riding off into the sunset or settling down to be surrounded by family, like Rocky.
Would you have preferred if Rocky jumped in the ring with Drago Jr and got brutally killed and then his CGI body would fall weightlessly from the ring? Does that make a movie "better?"
