Nice tuxedo. The red flower is a nice homage to Connery :yess:

Yeah it does seem to be combining many elements from Goldfinger (white tux, henchman), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (plot, setting, music), and Live and Let Die (teaser poster outfit, Day of the Dead imagery).

Oh god!!!! NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!

Confirmed: Sam Smith is Doing the James Bond “Spectre” Theme Song

EXCLUSIVE I’ve confirmed it. After months of speculation, Sam Smith — the male version of Adele as it were– is doing the James Bond theme song for “Spectre.”
Sam joins Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Carly Simon, Sheena Easton, Duran Duran, and of course Adele in the long line of singers who’ve had this moment in pop history.
Yes, I did think Ellie Goulding was doing the song. But my sources tell me that because she did “Fifty Shades of Grey,” she was out of contention.
And Smith, despite plagiarism problems this year with Tom Petty over “Stay with Me,” is the breakout star of the year. Just like Adele, he took the Grammy Awards. I don’t know why anyone thought Radiohead, which drones on on and on like an electric fan, would be singing a pop song for a pop movie. That was weird.
Stay tuned and keep refreshing for more updates.

Casino had a great theme, but the song was just OK. Can't remember QoS. Skyfall was OK but got irritating after they played it to death.

What is THE last great Bond title song?

Can't remember any of the Brosnans (even though I know one was done by one of my favorite singers, Shirley Manson)...

I liked Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" and Adell's "Skyfall". Jack White and Alicia Key's "Another Way to Die" was weak.

Shirley Bassey (singer "Golderfinger", "Diamonds and Forever" and "Moonraker") and 007 composer David Arnold had been working on a theme "No Good About Goodbye" as a pitch for the theme to Quantum but it wasn't ready it time. IMHO it was much better than what was used and sounded like a classic style Bond theme.

Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" is whiney and makes me want to stab my ears.

David Arnold had been doing all the Bond scores since Tomorrow Never Dies if I'm not mistaken. I wonder did Sam Mendes even consider keeping him on.

The song is called 'Writing's On The Wall'.

Can't say I'm excited by the news, but I haven't really heard anything by him, so...here's hoping it sounds good

I don't think any of the songs sung by female singer's have been bad, Thunderball was decent but has any song by a male singer been that successful?

Live and Let Die, A View to a Kill, and The Living Daylights were all pretty successful songs. As for solo songs, From Russia with Love, Thunderball and You Know My Name have been the only ones.

Last good song was Goldeneye, Tina Turner.

Casino Royale was also ok, certainly didn't suck.

This new song was recorded back in January.

It just has to suck. :lol

We'll know 9/25.

I've heard that Stay With Me song on my wife's stations on the radio. It didn't occur to me until reading it now but it is a rip-off musically of Tom Petty's "Won't Back Down." That should have disqualified him from the running. Plagiarism is a bigger fault of character than agreeing to have a song included in "50 Shades of Gray." Ellie Goulding would have been a better choice.
