Sideshow Storm Trooper fit slim true type?

I don't have the narrow but I ordered a Slim for my Tony Stark and it was about an inch shorter than the regular True Type so I kept Tony as-is. Now I'm thinking of using the Slim for Storm Luke.

What slim did you get? Inch shorter sounds odd. The Narrow and Slim may not have been the exact same height but like 1/8 inch difference maybe, nowhere near an inch. I swapped one of my HT Jack Sparrow's onto the slim and it made no difference in his height compared to my other Jack on the standard, wide shoulder True Type.

Thanks for the input. SSC is sold out on those I see.
Is the standard TT taller? I have missed that if someone said

The one in the green packaging from Sideshow. I was all set to transplant Tony and was shocked by the height difference.

Here's a height comparison of the True Type Slim (Left) next to Sideshow ANH Luke (Right)

I wonder if there are height variations, that'd suck because there was no option to choose. I expected it to be shorter and was surprised when it wasn't.

Here's my Jack on slim TT next to the regular TT I swapped for, basically identical in height.

That is false, I received a narrow and slim today and they're the same height.

Actually, that's false. It's more like 1/4 of an inch. And depending on the length of the sculpted neck vs. the no-neck, or even the longer no-neck adapter, it can be even greater.

(plus, it might help if you actually put the legs on your nude Jack the same distance apart as the ones on your clothed Jack too ;).)

That can cause variation, but the base body is the same size, and even slight variations of heads and necks wouldn't cause the inch different KL was mentioning.

It's not the same size. You need to look at them again. From the top of the traps to the bottom of the ankles, on each, there's about a 1/4in difference in height. Additionally, depending on which neck adapter is used, long or short no-neck adapters, you'd get an even greater difference in height.

So your saying the slim and narrow are shorter than the reg TT?

No, the narrow-shouldered TT is identical in height to the standard TT. The slim TT is shorter by a quarter inch. That difference can be made even greater if you use the longer no-neck adaptor (like the one that was included with the Tony Stark suit).

Got a Slim TT yesterday and tried to put ST Luke on it. Darthgoth mentioned that the ST armor was tight around the legs so I tried slipping on a few pieces and couldn't even get the upper leg armor on, though I'm sure it would go if I were to really push it. I figured if I had a tough time getting it on there without the body suit that it maight be a waste of time to make an attempt at getting the whole thing together. Anyway, they do make great replacement bodies for Marmit STs though.

It was pretty tight! But it did go on, even with the bodysuit.

My main problem was that everytime I bent the knees, the lower leg armour kept getting forced down and popping the feet off!

Any posability I had gained from the tighter joints was negated by having to keep putting the feet back on everytime I handled him.

Went back to standard body. Used my Slim TT's to upgrade a Marmit Sandtrooper and make a custom ANH Farm Boy Luke - both of which I'm most pleased with.

Not as pleased as I am with my new Gonk of course (Cheers Dorgs!) But pleased non the less!

Was the upper leg armor tough to get on yours as well? The back (hamstring) on the Slim TT bulges out quite a bit.

The Slim does look good on Marmit Troopers. Legs look a tad short similar to the Medicom. Did you cut away the shoes on your Marmit from the leg armor? If so did the TT feet fit inside with any issue?

Upper Leg armour = VERY tough to get on. I had to pull the lower legs off, really squeeze it on then pop the legs back together.

I did cut the shoes off, but the feet wouldn't go in! I considered filling the Shoe with Modelling clay, and setting the True Type ball joint into it. But the legs of the TT are a bit short, so they didn't quite stick far enough out of the leg armour to make a good connection. In the end I glued them back on and just left the feet off!

Stands up OK, shame about the lack of ankle articulation but I really like the look of the Marmit Armour so I don't mind besides I've got a Medi Sandie too and A SS one on the way! So they can do all the bending over!
