Serang, is your sculpt based on any portrait in particular? I think I see a bit of the death mask there.

When i was sculpted this great artist, reference is he's death mask(can see the he's original skull), life mask, some very popular portrait painting and sculptures.
But, these reference was just reference, i always re-construction or analyzed my view and added he's personality and life or art on he's face.

You know, his death mask always made me think of a skinny, old Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Hi, here is my new Oldies But Goodies project No.12 'Ludwig Van Beethoven' head sculpt.
Based on he's life mask and death mask, also some reference - portrait painting and sculpts or statues.
But, reference was just reference.
I approach my works as art works in that they are re-analyzed exposing the character's life and personality, not just resemblant to the objects.
I wish make he's insanity passion to the music.

Are you feel he's passion?
Are you hear he's symphony #5 and #9?

Great sculpt serang.. but I am feeling more of a John Fogarty vibe than Beethoven the more I look at it.

Hi, this is a my first test painting for Beethoven head sculpt.
He's clothing is not for him, it is a just for 'image testing'.
Real beethoven clothing under in progress.

Also, Beethoven's hearing aid.
He used many different style hearing aid, it is a very popular and portable handy hearing aid.

OBG12 - Beethoven,
OBG13 - Vincent Van Gogh,
OBG14 - Jimmy Page - Led Zeppelin.

But OBG14 is not sure, i am researching he's famous dragon suit(2 different type - white and black), but hard to find large and clear, full-angle images.(i was Google image search, got many images, but not enough, i need clear and large images of he's suits)

If anyone have a informations about this suits, please let me know.

awesome! love that you're taking the time to study them before you take them on. the beethoven sculpt is phenomenal. so much emotion in the sculpt... hard to do but it looks perfect.
