Can't see the Rangers being in a 2nd WC so soon... it'll definitely be a Canadian team for the next WC and it'll be held in Canada...Phili can't even stop their rink from melting

It's 9 (48) degrees in Phili right now...It's -4 (24) in Ottawa

Canada has the Heritage Classic while the US is reserved for the Winter Classic.

Philly shouldn't have been in two this fast and neither should Pittsburgh have

I have no issues with the Pens and Flyers being in two already, who else you goign to have from the US? Columbus vs Nashville?
Florida Vs Tampa? Islanders Vs Carolina? Anaheim Vs Dallas?
The WC is limited to about 8 US teams that would always have to account for one of the teams.

Winter Classic is actually a great game this year, I'm really enjoying it! Hard hits, fast paced, good goaltending and some great shots!

Plus, as much as I think Pierre is an idiot, you gotta love some of his comments for the lolz

Just switched over to CBC..I thought the game was only on NBC. Anyways, Pierre Mcguire is an old TSN commentator who recently got hired by NBC.

He is a bald buffoon who makes an ass out of himself and makes the worst comments on the game

Why not have those teams?? You could easily have Colorado in a Classic by now, or Minnesota. You could have Detroit host a classic vs any one of the other western teams. There is a western conference in the NHL you know. I would have loved to see Selanne and the Ducks in a WC wearing their old school jerseys. Or the Kings wearing one of their many old jersey styles. No reason why Carolina or Tampa couldn't have faced the Rangers or any other North Eastern team. Carolina could have worn the old Whale jerseys.

Why not have those teams?? You could easily have Colorado in a Classic by now, or Minnesota. You could have Detroit host a classic vs any one of the other western teams. You make the assumption I wouldnt like them either, indeed Col or Minn would be good choices, but not the draw NBC and the NHL want, its a shame really, old School Kings jersey would be awesome, so many choices.

They would make just as much money with the Wild hosting the Ducks in a WC. You think MN fans aren't gonna pay to sit outside and watch hockey??? They do that all winter long anyway.
