Most Disturbing Scenes??

The gang rape in The General's Daughter bothered me for weeks.

And that's why it's awesome. It doesn't try to be anything but depraved and disgusting. And it took de Sade a lot of courage to publish his texts, and that's admirable. What's not admirable is a guy being imprisioned because he wrote fiction that people considered too obscene.

I'm with Napoleon. I've never seen the film, nor read the book, and I have no intention of ever doing so, but if it's as depraved as you all say it is, well, again, good for Napoleon. I'd feel more comfortable if some of the twisted minds that come up with this stuff were locked up. At least you'd know that their "fiction" wouldn't cross over into reality by their own hands. It's not "courageous", it's disgusting.

Just saw that Irreversible rape scene clip and I didn't think anything of it, same with the Girl with the Dragon tattoo or American History X, saw the movies and, those scenes don't make me feel anything,

Rape is scary and is really disturbing of course, I am not saying it isn't
but when it is in a movie I can't help but think "well, that is Monica Bellucci, or Well That is just Edward Norton, and nothing is happening to them" is like I know they are okay,

You could say the same for gore, it is fake and nothing is happening to them, but the difference is that gore is more explicit, they show blood and guts and body parts, looks too real sometimes,

ok well than watch Megan is Missing. its a terrible movie about these two little girls being raped and tortured.
That movie made me sick. thepart where the girl had razor wire on her eyes and in her mouth then they put her dead corspe in a barrel. I had so many nightmares about that disgusting movie. People need to watch there damn kids.

The scene in Casino when Joe Pesci is forced to watch his brother being beaten to a pulp with baseball bats, is beaten himself and then they are buried still alive. I know they were scumbags themselves in the film if memory serves but it nevertheless disturbed me being that I'm very close to all my brothers.

I am just saying the actors are really famous, Edward Norton is still Edward Norton and nothing is happening to them for real, is not like someone cutting their arms or something gory like that, Like I Said, rape is a disturbing and scary thing, but in big movies I know the actors are safe, so watching that doesn't bother me because it is not really explicit and I know the actors are okay, doesn't mean I like watching that...


what really really bothered me though,

a rape and Murder scene that really bothered me and gave me nightmares
was the Megan Is Missing Rape and Murder scene,
that crap is really disturbing and awful,

you have unknown actresses and a really disturbing story, a low budget movie filmed with camcorders, the movie sucks, but the ending is just horrible, awful rape scene, That is What i Mean, the girl is not famous and the movie is low budget, looks realistic, I will never watch Megan is Missing again,

Nothing quite as graphic as the scene from Audition, but there are some moments.

Btw, I recommend both Audition and Old Boy highly.


On the subject of rape; I liked the Mark Ruffalo movie Blindness, but the rape scene made me not want to see it again.

I just watched some of this movie and it's probably due to that fact that I'm so desensitized with all the movies I watch but I didn't find it as terrible and disturbing as Irreversible. It's all f ed up but something about Irreversible really stuck with me, also the face crushing scene was pretty intense. Has anyone seen Serbian Film?

Same goes for me. The rape scene was particularly disturbing but like you I found the whole film unnerving. That face crushing scene was really gruesome and made me feel sick to the stomach.

did you see the end? the only part of Megan Is Missing that is bad is the last 20 minutes or so,
most of the movie is boring and kinda dumb, is when Megan is kidnapped and her friend is raped, and then the ending... just too much for me (specially since it was based on real events, Not That is scary )

if you are curious what Serbian Film is but dont want to see it, this review is pretty good, and is funny
he uses clips from the movie and tells you what It is, I never saw the movie but he does a good job describing it
very disgusting and perverted movie, I don't think I could ever watch that crap,

he finally gets on top of it to do it...
very realistic, the bodies look real,

the blood.. the guts..... the rape...........

the whole thing is about 30 minutes, cannot even be named a movie,

How do you guys even come across a lot of these bad movies? I think you have a bit of a point. When we see well known actors/actresses in disturbing scenes, it doesn't have the same effect as someone we've never seen before. For me, I think that applies to everything, but the rape scenes though.
