I love the look and style of this game.

From renowned developer PlatinumGames comes a highly stylized, over-the-top brawler created exclusively for the Wii. A terrorist group known as the Organizers has taken over Varrigan City, forcing all citizens into their insane “Death Watch” game, where “kill or be killed” is the only rule. As Jack, a mysterious game participant, players will set ingenious traps, use imaginative tactics to pummel opponents and battle in vicious hand-to-hand combat with daggers, bats, chainsaws and more using the arcade-style controls of the Wii Remote™. While the spectacular mayhem ensues, enthusiastic sports announcers entertain the spectators with humorous commentary detailing the game highlights. The bloodiest, most creative kills earn the most points and increase the chances that Jack can save the terrorized city – let the games begin!

This looks pretty cool. I'll add it to my gamefly list at some point and see if it worth a buy sometime down the road.

I think it'll be a huge bust on the Wii, but it looks like it has promise. A little too stylized though, IMO. Not sure how long I'd be able to stand looking at it.

It was either this or Killzone 2 for me, and I think I'm going with this. This looks too good to pass up, while Killzone is another generic fps.

So instead of criticizing Killzone solely upon its merits, you decide to throw base judgments on the game within its genre? Is it Killzone's fault that the FPS genre has become generic, as you said?

I was skeptical at first, but KZ2 did turn out to be a lot of fun even if it doesn't do anything revolutionary within the genre.

Madworld looks fun too. There should be room for both games.

Oh there's always room, just not money. I was just saying (poorly, I guess) that I can only get one game right now, and I might as well give Madworld a go as it seems different and fun.

I didn't mean to ^^^^ on KZ2, and I like FPS's, it's just there are so many of them right now that it's going to take something a little bit different (and hopefully innovative) to get me excited right now. :peace

The fact that it is black and white really makes me want to pass. Looks like playing too long would give me a headache. It worked for Sin City, not for a game.

Its a bit too morbid for me. I can see the storyline working if it was more like Smash TV and campy. This is just too disturbed and violent.

I don't find it disturbing mainly because of how unrealistic it is. I mean, it's cel shaded and hyper stylized camp. It's not like the Manhunt games, which were deranged and portrayed realistically.

I think its a bit disturbing in the sense that the point is wanting to crush people with spikes or throw them into on coming trains and what not. And I like God of War and stuff. This just seems to one up that a little.

I'm not really all that sensitive, but its just a little weird. I just didn't get "camp" out of the trailer at all, and thats what it needs, as I said, like Smash TV.

Its not the most disgusting thing I've ever seen or anything, just not for me.
