This is one of those figures where i'm very tempted to pick up two... Just so i can have both the different looks on the shelf.
I had intended to modify my old SS version to accommodate the head and hands from this version.

But these great pics from Dean Knight are making me re-think my madness:giggle:

Got mine for like $7 at clearance at Media Play (predecessor to FYE) years ago. Thought it was a steal then, even more so now when you can’t even buy a decent headsculpt under $40 these days.

I hear ya. Judging by what I have and what I'm planning on getting I will have more versions of this character than anything in my collection. I already own the old SSC and a Mego figure, but I have this, Neca & the Super7 figures to pick up. He might be my favorite vampire design ever.

I will hang on to mine. It was a $25-30 figure all those years ago. Nostalgia if no other reason.

Yep. I still have some of my old SSC Universal Monsters on display. I have a soft spot for that era of horror figures. There's other reasons for me to collect things outside of the most accurate, realistic, etc.

He's mine too. The final scene of Act1 where he first meets Hutter in the castle yard is probably my favourite horror intro ever.

When he steps out from the castle darkness clutching the bundle of keys, and then returns to the darkness with poor Hutter in hand...

The look and physicality of Schreck's preformance along with the directing is just genius.
