Unfortunately that first pic highlights the thing that still bugs me about these InArt figures. Those deep cut eyelids and the eye positioning on his right eye do look a bit off.

At the very least they need to get that cut a little less deep (older HT like the 89 Joker or Batman Returns figure weren't so deep) and then of course just switch to the separate eye system.

Thank you for your continued love and support of INART. In order to keep INART collectors up-to-date with product information, I will focus on responding to recent questions from collectors at home and abroad in this video. Of course, if you still have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments section.
Firstly, about the brand INART. We were founded in 2021 and are part of the same company as Queen studios. The difference is that INART specialises in 1/6 collectible figures. Our team produces and promotes a range of international film and television licences, international animation IP licences, and pop culture related 1/6 collectible figures. Through handmade rooted hair technology, movable eyes technology and precision face sculpt and painting techniques, we hope to make the most accurate interpretation of the characters themselves, so that collectors get a collectible that can make you immersed in the scene instead of a toy.
Secondly, about our recently shipped figure Gandalf and Pennywise. Gandalf, as well as our other figures, have rooted hair made of wool and we hope collectors could understand that there are slight variations from one piece to the next, as the rooted hair process is done by hand.
Regarding what some collectors have shared their feedback on wanting all movable eyes in the future to be like Pennywise’s implementation of single stick operation for each eyeball. We will consider it carefully. The reason why Pennywise is designed this way is also to recreate the image of the character’s asymmetrical eyeballs. Just like the one-by-one rooted hair technique that is currently only used on Pennywise, it was also designed to recreate the broken hair at the front of that expression’s hairline in the film. Everything we do is about capturing detail and recreating reality. Whether or not these two techniques will be applied to other figures in the future is also determined by the needs of the character.
We have also received some questions about Aragorn and The Batman figures. Our team are working hard to increase our production speed and efficiency without compromising on quality. Both of the figures are undergoing tweaks and changes to make improvements to the final product. These improvements include The Batman’s head sculpt and cape. Aragorn’s belt and belt buckle. As well as his boots and armour and the addition of an official channel special black cloak. It looks like collectors are eager for updates, and we’re working hard to achieve the finest figure possible.
Many collectors are also curious about updates on the Harry Potter figure and line. INART have plans to develop this line further. At the moment, we’re keeping our cards close to our chest with regards to big announcements. We have some exciting plans for this line that won’t disappoint. Make sure you keep an eye out for updates.
Finally, there are many collectors concerned about Superman, Michael Jackson and Paul Atreides from Dune. Superman is expected to complete the optimisation and adjustment within this month, and the relevant news will be posted on the official account in time. Michael Jackson and Paul Atreides from Dune is still in the supervision stage, there are some details need to confirm with the copyright holder. Hopefully, we can meet with all collectors as soon as possible."

Correct. I meant to say that I prefer how the eyes look on the new Asmus sculpt compared to the PERS system being utilized on the InArt version. I'm in agreement with TonTon's explanation posted above.
I dont have either in hand yet, but based on pictures of bloggers I prefer the realism in the InArts eyes. InArts looks like an alive person. Asmus still has that doll effect going on.

Same here. I love articulated eyes. Adds an extra dimension to the realism. Folks have to remember, these photos are super close ups of the portraits. Unless our vision has robocop zoom in capabilities, these slight gaps between eye lids and eye balls are barely noticeable to the naked eye. Even with these super close up/blown up pictures, the gap isn’t bad at all.

Only new information is confirmation that InArt are aware of the push for individually artuclated eyeballs over PERS.
This, I never understood. I'm not a big fan of PERS in the first place, although InArt actually does them correctly so I'm warming up to it now. That said, individually moving eyeballs is just going to lead to a lot of lazy eyed figures.

Agreed, it would beg the question whether they’d be more likely to loosen up over time, which would be a royal pain to deal with. Then again, if the eyes aren’t perfectly aligned for the current dual setup during a figure’s production, it will just have the same problems.

I think InArt should just focus on improving QA for existing PERS and nobody should feel the need for individually moving eyes

I don't like those pictures because the top lighting is too harsh.

What it does do is show how defined the wrinkles are. It's rare to see production retain that level of fidelity.

My only complain about the sculpt is Gandalf looking a bit too sickly or pale in most of the shots. Maybe its the redness around the eyes. Maybe its the lighting, I don't know.

I think he’ll benefit from warmer and less direct lighting. Gandalf doesn’t have a lot of color, it’s a lot of neutral and gray tones, so harsh bright white lights will just make it look more haggard.

What is this updated asmus sculpt people keep talking about. Can someone post a picture?

*nevermind I saw it. It looks like ****

Individual taste respected but… Nah, man it looks great. Both in photos and in-hand.* I think InArt will have the superior figure overall but the Asmus upgrade is excellent. And I’ll be very curious to see how the upgrade Asmus sculpt compares side by side with InArt’s.

* And not that you shouldn’t form an opinion of your own—of course you should!—but it’s worth noting that the consensus of collectors in this community is that the GtG upgraded sculpt is actually excellent. There were worries before it released that the facial expression might be too dour and intense, but those fears have not been borne out. Otherwise the hair is phenomenal and the repaint (to GtW) is topflight. It completely transforms the figure.

Now was the original sculpt **** by comparison due to the problem with the eyes being too deep set? Many would agree with that!

The main issue with the figure now (in my view) is that the fabric of his robes requires soaking in water to drape more naturally. That’s kind of a pain to have to go through. (Note: I have not done that.)
