When Marvel and Lionsgate launched their slate of Direct-To-DVD/Blu-Ray feature films we set out to bring comic fans an animated experience unlike anything seen before from Marvel animation. By creating films for the small screen we are able to tell stories with more drama, romance, and action than Saturday morning series will allow while taking chances on characters and storylines often deemed too risky for larger scale theatrical releases.

In January 2009 two of the most famous battles in Marvel's comic book history are finally being brought to life in the sixth Marvel/Lionsgate Direct-to-DVD/Blu-Ray release "HULK VS." Here's a little info on the films included in this release

HULK VS THOR – It's gods versus monsters in this epic 45 minute movie! Never have we explored the explosive power of the Hulk like we have in this new film, every major character from the Marvel Thor universe is thrust into battle with this Green Goliath as he brings a new Ragnarok down upon the realm of gods.

HULK VS WOLVERINE- This dark, violent, smash and slash story was first told in issue 181 of THE INCREDIBLE HULK and the rematches have continued to thrill comic fans ever since. Now Marvel and Lionsgate takes the best of those famous comic book battles and merges them into one heart pounding 33-minute story.

We'll have more on Hulk VS Thor in the coming months but here's a brief description of Hulk VS Wolverine:

Hulk vs. Wolvie
"ALBERTA, Canada. Over the past week, The INCREDIBLE HULK has been tearing a line across the Canadian wilderness, leaving a swathe of destruction in his wake. He has to be stopped, and there's only one man up to the job.

He's the best at what he does, but what he does isn't very nice.

He's WOLVERINE, an elite agent of Canada's top secret Department H, and he's been put on Hulk's trail with a single objective: stop the Green Goliath… at all costs.

Hulk and Wolverine are about to enter the fiercest battle of their lives. And they have no idea that there are a few unpleasant surprises waiting for them on the other side."

Most people will need to wait until January 2009 to see this film BUT you don't have too…

Come meet Supervising Producer/Co-Writer Craig Kyle, Producer/Supervising Director Frank Paur, Co-Writer Christopher Yost and others involved in this Marvel Animation Milestone and watch the complete "Hulk VS Wolverine" film before it's January 2009 Blu-ray and DVD release at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con.

The world premiere screening takes place on Thursday July 24th at 4:15PM in Hall H

:D:D

Me soo happy.

The Avengers animated Movie had a brief fight between Thor and Hulk. But I want the classic match.

Marvel's animation dept. is garbage. DC really owns them in comics and cartoons.

Not biased at all are we:D

Watching the new Batman animated today:rolleyes:

Gotham Knight is actually quite bad, though. Very disappointing...

It terms of the "Hulk vs." Series....The dialogue from the trailer doesn't seem to match-up well with what my eyes were seeing. By that I mean, the animation looked like something geared more towards a younger audience while the dialogue seemed to rise to a much more mature level. If that's making any sense at all.....I guess I expected something more like the animation from the Iron Man and Avengers series.

I'll hold of my judgment 'tll I see for myself, but that is troubling news.

Honestly, I'm the same way. I'll go out and by it today anyway simply because it's one of the first heavily-hyped Batman animated releases we've seen in a while (aside from his appearance in the Justice League release.)Batman and anime is an interesting combination and something I'm excited to see. It reminds me a lot like the Animatrix film.

Are you a fan of anime? Why didn't it quite make the "cut"? I was planning on picking this up today.

The stories are horrible and short (which I guess is good since they're horrible!). They get better as they go on, but it's just not worth owning in any form unless you get it for free. It doesn't line Batman Begins to TDK, either. It's just random stories.

Watched these two tonight and thought they were pretty decent.

The Hulk VS Wolverine was more violent than I thought it would be. I wish the live action Wolverine would be more like this.

The Hulk VS Thor was pretty cool though due to the use of a lot of the Thor supporting characters.

I think it looks pretty interesting gonna watch vs thor first ( thor fan) good chance to sit down with my boys and watch some marvel :D

this looks so awsome !

tuesday I will be going to best buy to get this.

I'm surprised it isn't "Wolverine Vs". C'mon Marvel, I don't think you are putting out enough Wolverine stuff.

After Wolverine and the X-Men, we need:

Wolverine and the Avengers
Wolverine: First Blood
Wolverine and the Temple of Doom
Wolverine Vs. Wolverine (guest starring Wolverine)

Many of my friends continually complain that Marvel does far too much Wolverine. Like it or not, he is one of the most popular Marvel characters running, and it's largely because he is a hero with a frequent lack of scruples... same reason many of the Watchmen characters have such huge fanbases. I hope that this succeeds. I'll be snagging the blu-ray on Tuesday. If it succeeds, I can't wait to see what they could have on the docket. They've already been mentioning such events as Civil War or even Secret Invasion down the road depending on how heavily involved they get in these. From the footage I've seen, I'm extremely impressed. If they were going to do some hardcore Hulk fights, considering Wolverine's premiere with the big green, it's only fitting.
