LFL is extremely hands-on with their properties and their license holders. Having attended the collectors panels at SDCC for quite a few years now, there is always a LFL representative that runs the panels, including Hasbro. The things that will get green-lit and executed are not solely in Howard's hands on this line and Hasbro has paved the way with decades of lower-end products flushing out every single character and niche in the earlier films and are continuing on that path for the newer films.
I would not be surprised if we see a lot more coming down the pipeline from both HT and SSC. SSC has really let me down this last year with issues, Jango being a huge clusterf#@* of design flaws and 3po's thumbs are laughable. I did like the Biker Scout though and recommend getting him to anyone on the fence as he looks great standing next to my Spacetrooper.
My biggest issue with the SW HT line is the speed at which they pumped them out so the corners cut are obvious. The lack of nailed likeness has been a huge issue with me and why I passed on Obi-wan despite loving the character. I am excited for Leia but felt a bit remorseful about Farm Boy Luke, its a great set of accessories but looks redundant in my collection with two Bespin Lukes that I actually like better. I feel they have cut corners on materials as others have stated but then Chewie is pretty amazing even with the silly muzzle and the Stormtroopers are exemplary.
Hot Toys will change as a company with this and the Marvel license. Disney will propel them into a larger staff, more output, and more factories and therefore lose some artistry in the process. HT figures have shown up on mainstream television and have been given to the actors themselves... This will be a new era for HT and for Star Wars collectors and woe be our spatial living arrangements as they we get crowded out of our own homes but even worse, woe be to our disposable incomes.
By the way, the Sand Person head is huge, I still like mine but back in that thread I complained about it immediately upon getting him. Look at the pictures on the box of film stills and then compare to the product. The Tuskens wrapped their heads very tightly, almost like paper machete still suits if you will. I think about making a custom with actual fabrics or even sculpting it myself because of it.
My guess: maybe one (1) Star Wars reveal a month at best now until we get closer to ROGUE ONE, say after SDCC things could pick up.

I wouldn't hold your breath for OT or PT background characters. They have major PT figures they could make still make, ESB and ROTJ figures. Then you have new movies for every year for next 4 years. Thats a lotime of major characters to fill up 4 -5 years of releases. Now we're are talking about a contract renewal likely during that time frame too and likely increase in prices even more so are you buying a 300-400 greedo?
Pretty sure ANH is done, with the exception of the Han-trooper exclusive for some show.
Next up would be ESB and ROTJ...
But HT has clearly cooled its jets on the whole STAR WARS thing as they finish delivering old promises and begin to ramp up on Civil War and BvS (unfortunately).
