Thanks folks! I’ve always thought that the Coruscant Guard were the most visually appealing of the Battalions, they just never got much in the way of the limelight (we won’t talk about Fives).

I’ve been wanting a Heavy Trooper for a while now and I was glad to see they were canonized; at least in my mind; when HT announced one with the Barc Speeder. I like how each Battalion’s special troops has a unique look in Battlefield Two and while mine isn’t 100% faithful to the source, it’s pretty close. This does have me feeling the itch to add a Specialist as well.

With the announcement of the Umbra Operative ARC Trooper and finally finishing this guy, I figured I’d post my Specialist up.

I’ve been working on this one for a while now off and on. Originally, I was going to make him an ARC for the CG but seeing as how it’s canonically dubious and knowing I hadn’t covered the full span of roles in BF2, I decided to tackle to Specialist. I was holding off forever on this since I hadn’t found a good recipe to match Hot Toys’ white color and while it’s still not perfect, it’s better than what I had originally come up with.

Currently he’s rocking a mock up rifle. It’s a Sandtrooper DLT-19 with a scope slapped on it, but it’s not great. The eye relief sits too far back and it makes aiming the rifle all but impossible for the Trooper, so I have an RotJ Scout Trooper E-11S coming. I’ve tried three different 3D printed DC-15Xs and none really did it for me, both for scale and quality, especially when compared to Hot Toys weaponry, so while the E-11S may be a little anachronistic, it still feels like it fits. I had tried mounting a scope to a DC-15S but there’s no real good way to do it without it being functionally useless.

I also included the squad as it currently stands with him. The headcount is now 7 and I’ve considered going to 10 for a full proper squad, but I kind of like the odd number. We’ll see. Let me know what you think!

Looks awesome! Just shows how much we need more phase 2 CG figures. The CG heavy is my favorite in that game.

Thanks! I would settle for a Phase II Fox, but I do agree… the CG Heavy was always my favorite and while he was the biggest pain to pull off he’s probably my favorite of the bunch here, though I do enjoy the Officer and I painted up a plethora of different gesturing hands from the 501st for him.

Since I have Fordo on the front burner, every now and then it flits through my head to build the rest of the Muunilinst 10... then I have to backhand myself like Evil Captain Kirk in TOS to snap myself back to reality. Madness! Sheer madness, the very idea.

Your Specialist looks great. IMO these figures look best displayed in odd-numbered groups, but thats just me.

Gah, I can’t edit my prior comment to include this one.

Thanks! I think it works with the odd number since it means my Officer is still front and center while having an even number on either side of him, though I am tempted to go with the canonical amount of clones for a squad proper.

My original plan was to collect a squad’s worth and start posting pics on Insta outside like I see so many other awesome photographers doing, but you can’t get an angle in my backyard without a fence or something in the shot so… I might have to travel to do it and I feel really weird playing with figures in public 😂
