Any one can make a review thread. That's the point. if every one decided to start a thread with their reviews, or their own pics, the site would be cluttered with literally hundreds of threads about the same figure.

Common and understood etiquette on this site is that all pics and reviews on a figure / statue / collectible go on the existing thread for said collectible.

As for OMG and Michael Crawford, you do have a point, but I think that both those posters are given some leeway because OMG's pics are so DAMN good and that Michael Crawford has his own site.

Just my $.02, I don't care either way.
