I am pretty sure his looks lighter red because of a flash or a filter or something. The lighting in that photo is so bright, you cannot read the nameplate.
My Darth Maul looks almost burgundy, he is so dark. Mine would require a photo filter to look that bright.

I think the one I picked up from ebay is a v3 based on the shape of his horns but mostly from the color on and where the text is placed on the shipper box.

Can't wait for Qui Gon seeing this, it's a shame the ST never had any new Jedi. Even a handful could have given us some lightsaber battles with KoR and Kylo.

He is for me now more like the actor and especially more threatening.
