Just going to leave this here because I'm not sure there's a better place to put it.
DC Comics announced today that they're going to publish new comics set in the universes (single universe? ) of the Superman 1978 and Batman 1989 movies.
The character designs for the Batman 1989 comic are epic. They're a pitch perfect evolution and blend of the 1989 / 1992 costumes, and the BTAS aesthetic (note the indigo inner cape lining). It's literally the Kenner transforming Bruce Wayne figure outfit on a comic version of Keaton + The BTAS Bruce Wayne build and suit drawn in a realistic style with Michael Keaton's face on it. The Bullock and Commissioner Gordon designs are great too -- Gordon especially looks like Pat Hingle in the animated universe...in a realistic style that fits the movie universe. Loving the 'stache addition on Michael Gough's likeness Alfred. It's also cool to see them pulling inspiration from Miller's DKR and Batman Beyond ROTJ with the Dee Dee designs. Batdance Prince and Jokerz gang members are there too!
Descriptions don't do it justice. See for yourself in the beautiful art of Joe Quinones:

I CAN NOT wait. Hopefully this prompts Mafex or S.H. Figurarts to make more figures (and vehicles! -- 6-inch figure scale Batmobile and Batwing 1989!) in this universe.
