This is my problem with collecting. I have zero, ZERO sympathy for people who wait after release to buy figures and have to pay mark ups. Bane didn't sell out anywhere, even after he released. You could have found him a few weeks after release for retail . And guess what, bbts offered him for $ 171 in the initial po, then $190. They bumped up the price to $225 when their stock was low. It's business and the only person to blame is yourself, not bbts. You aren't entitled to anything. They don't owe you anything. You want something, pre order early . BBTS is still my favorite site .

Ive had zero problems with BBTS CS and ive been buying TFs from them since 2007. In that time ive had to return or replace multiple items and they have never given me a hint of grief. There are guys that buy Masterpiece Transformers overseas to save, literally, $15 but if tbe figured us ****ed they are screwed. I always pay the extra $10-$15 just for their no hassle CS if the figure is defective.

Was the initial PO initially that low, wow...

Firstly, the main benefit from ordering from BBTS for a lot of folks was the fact they received their stock last, letting collectors decide if they wanted the final product of a figure that had yet to be released. It was a good thing to have especially when you look on page 1 of this thread and see a prototype that had many issues with a less than ideal "skinny body", which the final figure improved upon greatly.

Second, if you reread some of the thread they didn't bump the price up when "stock was low", they still had something like 40 figures left and they weren't selling fast at $225. (guesstimate, its been awhile since I read it and I'm not searching for it..but somebody did check and it is in this thread if you want to find it.)

Third, correct, BBTS doesn't owe me anything, as I don't owe them anything either. I am entitled to shop at places that don't practice these "scalper type" markups on popular figures though. (Sideshow, Alter Ego etc.)

Happy BBTS makes you Happy!:)

I couldn't find the post to quote, but I remember someone put Thor hands on their Bane to get the "boss" pose really nice, and I wanted to know, did they use the new TDW Thor hammer hands or the Avengers Thor hammer hands, or are they the same thing? Thanks in advance!

^Actually curious of the same thing.

I recently sent my Bane arms to galactiboy in exchange for a set of DX10 arms he had. I had to modify the arms and the connection points at the torso to get them on but in the end, things lined up pretty well. I futzed for a long time trying to get the boss pose...not quite there but nevertheless:

I'm using the stock hands and wouldn't mind switching them up to some that grip a bit better...

^Interesting... do you have pictures? He has nunchaku hands but also some other pairs that I think can work too....^

Hi buddy.

I have not had my Bane in his 'like a Boss' pose in a while but I definitely bought these hands from the DX Beruce Lee figure -

Clenched hands in the middle -

I'm going to repose Bane soon so I will get a few snaps of him with these hands on.

Oh I have found some old pics (when I did the arm swap way back when) on my PB account of Bane with the Bruce Lee hands. :yess:

He is not doing the 'Boss' pose but he is wearing them -

Nice! Yeah, they look like the nunchaku hands which I think are the same or similar to Thor's hammer hands. The Bruce Lee set sure has a nice variety of hands for posing.... :yess:

Yes they are great and that DX Bruce Lee was packed with goodies by the looks of it.

My last Bane 'Boss' pose I just used his own hands as the Bruce Lee hands were more for him to grip the top of his vest and at the time I wanted his hands to hold onto the middle of the vest like this -

Anyone know anything about these COO rubber rubber bodies? I’m thinking of preordering one for Bane.

I think someone did the boss pose just by popping the stock arms out, letting them hang in the jacket, and resting the hands in the vest. I think I might try it... I'm jealous of all these boss poses.

Really? I must have missed that. I would be afraid the arms would look longer or out of place, but I guess the jacket sleeves are tight enough to hold them in place. I guess it would work. If you do it, post pics.
