Roose is one scary mother****er. He epitomizes everything I found scary in teachers growing up.
Spoiler:In the books, part of Ramsey's backstory was his marriage by force to a neighbouring widow of the Dreadfort. He married her, took her lands, then starved her to death in one of his towers. If for some reason Roose is out of the way, I could see Ramsey disposing of his mother-in-law and her baby similarly...
I've had a bad feeling about Stannis all season long. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets betrayed by the witch woman and she then turns to Roose/Ramsey. It would just be too damn easy to have Stannis waltz in, kill the Boltons, free Sansa, and have everyone living happily ever after The fact that Stannis has become significantly more likable contributes to this thought. The witch would be a better fit with scum like the Boltons. Dany marrying the slave master guy for the purpose of quelling the conflict in the slave city isn't something I saw coming.
It's like she thought about it for about 5 minutes, then decided on a whim that this is the thing to do, and is going with it. While in the prior scene she was a hair's breadth away from feeding that same guy to the dragons. And of course, marriages don't necessarily mean that much in Game of Thrones, but still. . .

Also have a feeling Ramsey might somehow get the upper hand on Roose and dispose of him if he gets the chance. Rest of this season is going to get pretty intense, I'm thinking.

Hmm, yes, there was that look she got on her face at the end of their dinner scene. It seems obvious, too, that Ramsay hates how much he covets his father's affection and is also fearful of a true-blooded Bolton usurping him. I think he'd kill Roose (say once mortally wounded -- given his cowardly nature) the first chance he got so he could play at being the head of the family. You're right, though, maybe Sansa will goad him into doing it sooner than he might've otherwise.Seems like we're supposed to think that Sansa will get all "Littlefingery" on Ramsay and manipulate him into killing Roose.
Stannis will probably win the battle of Winterfell and then get a post congragalatory sword to the gut from Briene.
How can the writers pass up that encounter?
Episode was decent, best part was the end with Jorah and Tyrion. Unfortunate that Jorah seems doomed now. He's a top bloke.
Also **** Roose Bolton and his bastard son. They can't die soon enough, IMO.
Yea, typical GOT
Exactly. Such a "F-Yeah!" moment when he returned, and then such a sour one at the end of this last episode.
Is the Hound dead? Thought he was just busted up...
