Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

i'd definitely get the skeleton if it's not simplified to Neca level.
edit: nope, $130-150 price would stop me.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

I buy so little now that the price might not put me off - for me it's the laziness of just shrinking the Hot Toys sculpts - the heads and even the damn hands. Those sculpts are outdated now, I want Hot Toys to make new ones, I don't need to see other companies acting as if they're the final word and copying them.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Price is ridiculous. Already have a few of the DX10s and this little one almost cost the same. I will stick with Neca at this scale and call it a day. If they adjust the price and go $80-$85, then I'm on board. Otherwise, F it :lol

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

I preordered through ToyNinja on FB for $105 shipped. That was the cheapest price I'd seen for him and they only took a $20 deposit instead of up front in full. I'll see how good that turns out but I might be interested in the others then if they can be had for a similar price. I got into HT collecting well after all the Terminator stuff was produced, I doubt I'll go back and collect them unless HT does re-dos of them.

My main interest is what the weapons will be like - NECA's weapons definitely leave a a bit to be desired in the quality department, getting warped in packaging etc. Of course, its kinda moot as I can hardly replace all my NECA weapons when these ones are only available with a $130-150 figure.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

$105 shipped is way better than what I've seen it for in the $130-$150 plus shipping. Nice find dukefett!!!

Warped guns suck, but I just blast them with the hairdryer for a couple of minutes and get them a lot straighter.

Credit to jackytoysopen on Instagram that MateriaHunter posted; just wanted to post them here for better clarity than the screen shots in previous page. They also showed the special base and endoskeleton arm.

The base is pretty underwhelming IMO and honestly makes no sense for the T-800 to be posed on it dressed in the Cyberdyne Systems assault.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Thanks for posting these pics.

Well, I want their steel mill diorama, the Endo-arm, the T-1000 bullet squibs, the stabbing finger hand, the T-800's grenade bandolier....

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Has anyone else who pre-ordered heard anything about this? As far as I know it’s still due to ship in November.

I find it bizarre that a company dealing with Collectables has no online/social media presence other than a store in 2018.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Funny, seems they’ve released more pictures of the other releases now.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Hang on a second, does their liquid metal T-1000 statue look like the NECA T-1000 to anyone else? I'll be more sure when I get home to compare the sculpted folds of the clothing.

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

So...the Endoskeleton exclusive has two plasma rifles and the regular version has none? Am I reading that right?

Re: Great Twins 1/12 T2 Cyberdyne Shootout T-800

Yeah the liquid metal T-1000 statue is a recast of the NECA T-1000 body....not so sure about the head but it's either the NECA or the Hot Toys.

Is this company going to sculpt anything for itself?

Since apparently they aren't maybe they should have gone with the NECA T-1000 head anyway. I will confidently say it is better than that shrunken Hot Toys one.

Weird they're copying stuff while also being licensed. Like NECA can't be happy about it since they still have the license too.
