I heard rumors awhile back Nintendo might remake this. Looks good. The original was the reason I picked up an N64.

As good as the game was back in the day (and it was one of the best) Games have come a looong way since then. From the looks of the graphics it looks to be the same as the old school N64 just upgraded for Wii...people who love the new shooters will get bored of this really fast. Only way I'd buy this if it was really cheap...like $19.99..and I doubt it will be. And Why is it still called GoldenEye? Daniel Craig was not in the movie...(not a big deal) but it should have just been called 007 or something IMO.

I don't own a Wii, I really wanted this for xbox 360. Brilliant online play and great controls.

Unless it is compatible with a Gamecube controller (and I hated that controller) the controls on Wii will be terrible. Also the online is shocking compared to PS3 and 360. I really hope this isn't true it's one of my favourite games ever.

I would buy this... not when it first comes out, but after its available for a decent used price or the inevitable $20 cheap-o price.

Goldeneye is a classic and even though games have come a long way since then is still a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Do you think that they used the Craig likeness because they don't have permission to use Brosnan's? They made a Quantim of Solace game with his likeness. After viewing the trailer a few more times I fear the worst. Needs to be DLC for the Xbox 360 like Perfect Dark and with changed graphics and nothing else. And a cheap price.

Yeah, changing to Craig is kind of weak... not a huge deal as you don't see him all the time. Wonder, if maybe they would have the option of choosing which Bond you'd want?

I'm excited at the idea of a new GoldenEye, but I have to admit the graphics do not look good, even by Wii standards. Reminds me too much of the N64 game, ya know what I mean?

Yeah, I definitely see you point, but honestly, I like that idea. I can't tell you how many times I went on the Wii Virtual Console looking to download the original. I like that they stayed with a lot of the original elements, even the looks.

The look leaves much to be desired, I love Bond but FPS have evolved so much since then. Me and my friends went back to play Goldeneye on the 64 a few months ago and was nearly unplayable, the dual analogs are sorely missing.

Unless the developers are total morons, I'm guessing the outdated graphics are intentional and meant to be a throwback to the original GoldenEye game.

l loved goldeneye. it was the best bond film in my opinion and the best bond game hands down. this was also one of the best multiplayer games ever.not a fan they used craig as the bond on this remake.

I think it is cool that they incorporated some of the new things into the game. For instance sneaking up and killing people by hand. But I don't care for having Craig as Bond. Should be Brosnan. I wish I still had my 64, I'd love to replay the original.

From what I've been reading, this is more like a brand new Bond game inspired by the original GoldenEye than a true remake. A lot of things are different this time around, which I'm okay with.

I would love to see a faithful high def rendering for the 360/PS3.

If I want to play it in low res, I still have a copy packed in the closet with my N64. I'll just stick with that.

Craig in this was a very, very poor choice. Brosnan was the Bond in Goldeneye, not Craig. And only for the Wii? That is another strike against it. I'd love to give it a chance, but I don't own a wii and all of these exclusive consoled games are just BS. I hate how you feel like you need to buy EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE every made to play all of the games you want.

If you really want to play it, buy a Wii. Seriously. The original GoldenEye was an N64 exclusive. And yes, if you want to play every game you're interested in, sometimes it means you need to own all the current consoles. That's a rule that's existed since, I dunno, the days of the NES.
