I like the theory. I think Kylo being Luke's son makes more sense than him being Leia's son, and I think Rey is more likely Han and Leia's daughter. A lot of people are thinking opposite.

I think Finn is going to be the new Han Solo moving forward and he isn't force sensitive. I don't think he will pursue being a jedi in the future. I think it's odd they aren't including a lightsaber or anything in any figures or merchandise for him, indicating he's clearly not going to be a Jedi IMO.

I think Rey will be the new Jedi of the series and we may be introduced to more jedi in Episode 8.

I'm curious at how Poe is going to progress and wonder if he will join Rey and Finn in future films, or stay with Leia, or if Leia joins in on the action moving forward too. I would love to see her wielding a lightsaber or training Rey.

Well there is a rumour that Kylo is Vaders cloned son. The Knights brought him back to continue Vaders work, trying to learn how to cheat death. Vader became obsessed with it after Padme choked on a dog biscuit.
So effectively he's Luke's brother.

I find the twin theory more likely but it's interesting.

I always took the removal of the helmet by Finn as a metaphorical image of this knocking off the brainwashing and beliefs of the First Order, hence the reason why the others keep theirs on is to show they are still part of the system.

I'll play this game. Let's see:

As for predictions, I think Kylo Ren will be Luke's son. One had and trained in the ways of the Force as a way for Luke to try and show that a father and son could be united for good within the Force, to try and prove wrong what occurred in The PT and OT, to prove Yoda and Obi-Wan and even The Emperor wrong. The problem is Kylo Ren shows too much of a temptation for The Dark Side and so the training stops, Luke realizes he was wrong and sends Kylo away for his own safety. Kylo joins The Knights of Ren and takes his training into his own hands paralleling his life to his grandfathers and decides that Vader's path is the one he was destined to follow. He becomes obsessive about it and like his grandfather decides to hunt and destroy the new Jedi, revealing himself to his father. Luke places himself in exile because he blames himself for this new "monster" and figures if he is gone then maybe the bloodlust in Kylo will stop.

Rey, Han and Finn look for Luke as a way to try and neutralize Kylo Ren because he is the strongest they know in the Force and The First Order are starting to make a name for themselves. They see Luke as a way to turn the tide, the way he did for the original Rebel Alliance.

Finn loses his arm against Kylo Ren and the lightsaber in their battle. He is force sensitive but not trained in anyway.

Han dies and Rey finds out that he is her father on his death bed. They never told her because of who they are and the fact that her mother is a general in the Alliance and knew that if people knew of her lineage that she would become a possible target for The First Order. The hug we see is Leia seeing her daughter for the first time in years and the grief that she wants to tell her but knows she can't.

All of this causes both Rey and Finn to decide to be fully trained and Luke decides the best way to atone for Kylo Ren is to train the Jedi that can stop him and hopefully bring him back to the light. The movie will end with the beginning of that training.

+1

This is a good theory and I'd be entirely satisfied if this is what happens. Kylo is a Skywalker and Rey is his cousin. The familial ties binding them together deepen.

Actually, now I'll be disappointed if this doesn't happen. :lol

And I like the connection with the knights. I can imagine the meltdown when Kylo finds out Vader was redeemed in the end. I also want to see Leia wield a lightsaber (her yellow one from EU) in this trilogy. She is not to be ******ed with.

And nice call on Finn. There's no way he escapes that confrontation unscathed. And I've always thought him with Anakin/Luke's lightsaber was a red herring. I kinda think Poe has a better shot of being force sensitive than Finn. It would be a nice parallel to the OT that an ace pilot has force abilities, which makes him a better pilot, and eventually becomes trained. But I'd guess Poe would be more morally ambiguous and not side completely with either side, rather with his personal loyalties. Imagine if Poe falls to the dark side and becomes Kylo's apprentice! :O

Damn I can't wait for the lightsaber duels in this trilogy.

You totally missed the biggest spoiler of all with all these "child of" things that hasn't really been reported yet - BB-8 is actually the (disabled) "son" of 3PO and R2. Yes, with all the gender revelations inherent in that.

How it physically happened and the tragedy behind it is what leads into Ep VIII - and it totally explains the real life Baker/Daniels rift. BB-8 seems cute and friendly but he actually holds within him a revelation that embodies the dark side.

I think Poe is more likely to be the new Han Solo as opposed to Finn. And based on packaging, Finn is still as likely to be force sensitive as Rey is, as neither come with a saber, but we continue to think Rey is going to become a Jedi.

I would love to see Leia wield a saber; yellow would be awesome. It's about time we bring more colors into the movies. Even if she isn't a trained Jedi, having her proficient with a saber would be rather awesome.

Leia won't have a light saber. No chance.

Luke isn't having a child. So let that one go. One evil nephew is enough.

I'm thinking Rey and Kylo are the kids of Han and Leia
Uncle Luke trains Rey to be a Jedi in Ep 8
Finn is new Han Solo and is Chewie's new bestie
I dunno about Poe

I think there's rumors of two to three new female leads in the next film? One was already cast too. I don't know how they will fit in.

What if Finn saves Chewie and then the life oath is then owed to him? Separate him from Han even if Han lives?

Han and Leia just left their daughter on Jakku to become a slave who works for food? Not a big fan of that theory.

Decided to update my spoilers/predictions:

  1. Kylo is the son of Han & Leia (sKYwalker+soLO), S+S=K, Clegane Bowl confirmed - GET HYPE!!!
  2. Kylo turns to the light, unmasks, and becomes the hero of the saga
  3. Rey is not related to anyone, but has more midichlorians than Anakin
  4. Rey will become a Sith Lord (Sith Witch?)
  5. BB8 is R2-D2's daughter
  6. Finn is not a ducktrooper; he's a rebel spy (with Poe) using the armor as a disguise to escape
  7. Finn is not related to Lando
  8. Finn gets killed (or seriously maimed) by Kylo in the snow forest; that is who Rey is crying over in the trailer
  9. Finn has no midichlorians
  10. Maz will spout off loads of exposition about how light sabres work and will contradict all EU explanations
  11. All Finn action figures are peg warmers
  12. The riot gear ducktrooper that fights Finn is the Daniel Craig cameo
  13. Jar Jar's the key to all of this

  1. Finn is not a ducktrooper; he's a spy using the armor as a disguise to escape
  2. Finn is not related to Lando
  3. Finn gets killed by Kylo in the snow forest; that is who Rey is crying over in the trailer
  4. All Finn action figures are peg warmers

"It's like poetry... sort of... they rhyme... hopefully it works..."

No. 2 would be a good twist, but I kinda hope not. I want Poe to go dark and become his apprentice.

Though No. 4 would be really interesting. We've never seen a Female Sith outside of KoTOR and other EU stories.

No. 6 is 100% incorrect.

If this is in response to Finn being a spy it's 100% false. That isn't even a spoiler but his official backstory. He was raised in the first order. Something happens early on related to that bloody hand print that convinces him to bail.

People here seem to be doing a really good job of being unspoiled of the film so I'm just going to bail on this thread so I don't accidentally ruin something lol

Just a heads up. The shoot schedule that MakingStarWars used for a lot of their leaks was supposedly posted on a forum that also leaked a lot of the concept art a while back.

So if you were trying to avoid spoilers, it's now time to lock yourself in your panic room.
