Some more in-hand pictures coming in. Looking great so far. Will probably keep my order.

Looks good,
Kind of wanting a 1:6 Isildur (with Narsil / Andúri) to stand at his feet now.
Curious how well does Weta's Isildur with the Sauron helmet scale compared to this one, and 1:6 figs? Seems they went pretty massive with it also.

Looks better on the new pics. I would change the chainmail and will do a slight repaint probably

If Sauron made the chainmail with his own hands, wouldn't the rings be larger as they are for his large fingers?
Yes. But not that big i think.

Most metal chainmail in the hobby for knights is also slightly oversized though. The size might be good for Sauron.

That fabric linkt in this thread is perfect for knights in 1/6 but might be too fine Sauron actually

Might not be "lore" accurate but it better matches the finer chainmail look the actual movie suit and various statues have. The one on the figure is just way too oversized.

I think both are accurate depending on the reference. I'm assuming Weta got more official pictures from WB for reference when working on the statue based on the one pictured below, which has him in a speedo chainmail. The only shot we see in the movie with the two layered chainmail is the screenshot I posted above. Probably just a case of the movie using multiple costumes.

From what I recall from the movie featurettes, there were at least two copies of every weapon and piece of armour: a full metal version for closeups and a lightweight copy for wide shots and battle scenes. There are also some differences in Sauron’s armour: for example in the forging scene there are no spikes on the shoulder plates but you can see them in the battle.

Many movies, it's hard to figure out accurate looks/size due to stunt to doubles, cgi, different costume, framing and for example in movies....

Actor is 5 ft 10 and wears high heels.
Camera angles used make actor taller
Movie says he supposed to 7 feet tall
Each scene he looks a different size....because unique camera framing or director needs ...
CGI of said character

Scaling is difficult. I think Sauron can be anywhere from 18 inches to 2 feet in 1/6 scale.

I’m guessing he wouldn’t want little human, elven, dwarven, and hobbitses pokey things getting thru to poke him in his junk, so pity Sauron if he couldn’t knit smaller mail with those big hands

Just got mine! Definitely nice in hand. The body proportions are totally fine, the paint applications are nothing sensational but the overall dark metallic look is good. The shoulder pads are double jointed and unfortunately mine came unglued, it’s annoyng on a new figure but it’s an easy fix. More pics to come later!

Does look impressive. I am not sure if this is a compliment, but looks like a bigger Toy Biz Sauron figure.

Back then, that figure was AMAZING!!! I still have it and am impressed by it. The cloth/weathered cape and the light up eyes....

I wonder if this will bring that feeling back of first getting Sauron 20 years ago.
