Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman on location for the new series.

We’ve got three new photographs of Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, all taken whilst filming the latest series of Doctor Who.

We caught up with Matt Smith who told us, ‘It [filming on the new series] is going well. Jenna brings a really different energy to the show – one which I think is very interesting.’

Shooting is well-underway for the Doctor’s latest adventures and the second read-through featuring Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion took place earlier this week at the BBC’s Roath Lock Studios.

We’ll be bringing you more news and photographs next week!

I've looked at that photo a few time today, and i have only just noticed that all the Daleks are different, there's even some off the old designs in there to.

Anything with Daleks makes me smile. That poster is both epic and heartbreaking at the same time.

Please kill them both off.

Any truth to the rumor (I just started) that this is Smith's last season?

Meaning he is contract through 2013 which would lead to Series 8 since theoretically it'd be filming in early 2013, and maybe even to Series 9 depending on filming or that he is contracted through the next full season which would air the Fall 2013?

If I recall correctly, after series 7 ends in spring 2013 there will be no DW until the new specials in the FALL 2013 in which he is scheduled to appear. I believe he will finish his run as the Doctor in these specials celebrating the 50 years of Doctor Who and series 8 will begin in 2014 with a new Doctor.

According to Smith's recent comments, Moffatt is talking to him about series 8 and the first few 2014 episodes so he is going to last until then. Possible that he could regenerate in the midway but I'd imagine we'll probably get a regeneration at the end of the series if/when it happens.

For those who may of missed it, unaware of it or just trying to avoid it, here are the first two episodes of the Doctor Who series 7 prequel 'Pond Life'

Not brilliant, very silly but still it's nice to have something new to watch after a long drought. :wink1:

Well that was a very interesting episode and already leaves quite a few questions for the rest of the series.
