Hi, sorry I'm a noob. I just got into 1/6th scale hot toys and I was wondering what the difference between the regular Hot toys iron man and the diecast versions? Both have articulation. Is it just the weight and the material used? Thanks in advance.

They just announced the diecast IMs starting with the IM3 line, they are not even out yet, so can't tell you about the articulation, but definitely be heavier. So far, all the IMs released from the IM movies and Avengers are all plastic, the Mark 1s-7s, but there maybe a chance HT will redo these armors in diecast in the future. Plus, the diecast is just HT's way justifying their increase in prices.

Yeah, I think the diecast figures are something like 40% metal. I wouldn't call them straight-up "diecast"; more like "made with diecast parts".
