its the Han smuggler... its my fan, I need another one so I had a go at that to. I cut the neck off as thats the only thing that bugged me. as for Praji gloves!!! Yep... really tough to do, and I have not had a 100% successful one yet... but that will not stop me trying LOL.
I figured I need two sets for my 2 tie pilots, a few for my x-wing pilots and some for my Hoth Han and Luke...

Yeah, Ryan had mentioned to me how difficult the Praji gloves would be to cast :( Still, good luck!

Ah, I have to say, I really like the way Han looks without the neck! Can you post, or have you posted, a better pic?

Hi Flosi,

here is one of the casts.

this is a really rough one I did first.

I will paint up another one and post pics of that to.

Mark

Damnit!

So now he can make great dio's, recast clone armor, modify sculpted heads in a way that actually makes them better, and then paint them too? How will I ever post a custom on here again, when I know it will be crap compared to anything Dorgs can do... :dunno

Start sewing your own 1/6 suits and you'll be more talented than anyone else here Dorgs! (sorry Vivisect! :lol)

PS what do you think of my new sig?

Looks like you're going great guns with the casting Dorgs , those helmets are particularly "neat" . I'm having a crack at some clone headgear this weekend so wish me luck !

Looks good Marc, nice skintones and you didn't loose the sculpt in the process. Still looks very much like Han Solo.

Quick question? Are you painting the catchlights (little white dots to simulate a reflection) on the eyes? If you use a gloss coat you won't need them, and it will greatly add to the realism.

Cheers for the tip, and I tried that with the Tarkin I did... so much better.

I will take some more pics soon.

Trying to cast some you know who Gloves atm...

I need about 8 pairs LOL!!!!

Totally agree Flosi,

When I have a few more I will send one your way.

Mark

Hi Mark

been thinking about helmets again. (stop snigring at the back!!)

the ones your doing are in Solid plaster right? Have you looked into casting the hollow plastic types, like the one I sent you?
Only wondered because the plaster ones are so brittle (I'm a clumbsy oaf. Dropped the Saesee Tien head and helmet you sent me, not dammaged beyond repair but thought the other type might be more durable. I regularly drop Katkuru's, and they just bounce!)

maybe I should just stop greasing myself up with baby oil before I handle my little men.

Never oil your self up while you play with the dollies. LOL

Sounds good, mate! :joy

Thanks for taking pics mark, big help.

Just wanted to know, do you need to sand down inside your clone armours? As I see you only mould the outside of the armour.

naicon I will take some shots of the inside and u will see the mess LOL, its not to bad!!!

DG... you should listen to Lopie.... and stop greasing yourself before you handle your LITTLE MAN!!!!!!!

as for my helmet....... uummm I will word this carefully.

I have now moved to resin as a-posed to resin plaster, so the helmets can now be hollowish and unbreakable!!!!!

The plaster resin is perfect for some jobs but not armour or helmuts!!

I have just got my first pair of Praji Gloves at last!!

I will post pics later.
