Now we just wait for the inside of the box and also I notice it looks ever so slightly different than the promo same thing that they did with Joel's box art with photoshop it looks like

I picked up the master team sculpts as well bc the likeness is better but also because I dont like how angry the cctoys sculpt looks. I ultimately bought the CCtoys version for the extra accessories and vest.

Ellie has a lot of scenes in the game in which she’s pretty angry yes but I feel like she has this innocent deer in headlights look most of the time.. Especially posing her with the guitar is gonna look weird with that huge frown on her head. And she already comes with an angry sculpt so I don’t understand why they didn’t go for a more neutral expression.

I never thought about having Ellie playing the guitar, but it just came to me that I could swap the arms out for ones with exposed joints (since she'll be wearing her hoody).

I might do that anyway just so I can pose the arms without fear of ripping the covering.


Master Team's angry sculpt is in reserve in case I don't like either of CC's, but I'd rather not have to use it.

At the moment it's on this body, which is just a clothes horse of spare parts:

I know we havent seen in hand photos or anything yet but I honestly think these early prototype sculpts are way better than what we ended up getting.
Ellies iconic deer in headlights look and this angry sculpt doesnt seem as wonky as the new one.

Yup as I said before I highly recommend picking up the Master Team sculpts for those that haven't already, the CCToys ones aren't really good in my opinion, there are no seperate parts which makes the whole thing less detailed, especially the angry one which looks more like she's having a rough time after Taco Bell night.

Overall I'm extremely disappointed with this one, they were going to try and fix the issues I mentioned and then just said "**** it" and released it anyway, they should've changed the sculpts and gave them sperate parts and they should've at least offered hands that matched the skin tone of the body, the tattoo is what it is, it was never going to work. Still I'm guessing the feedback will be mostly positive for this.

Weird that I only thought of doing that this morning with the arms from a body I already had.

Don't know, they have a track record of usually making the final sculpts worse for some reason, I've seen their several prototype Nathan Drake sculpts and I'm still dumbstruck by what they picked as the final one.

Yes, my thought was just to use jointed arms under the hoody to make her more mobile without destroying the rubber.

The tattoo on the new arms is a little redundant unless you pose her in such a way that it disguises them from certain viewing angles.

Unless she miraculously looks better when she arrives, these sculpts will be destined for characters who aren't Ellie. lol

The angry sculpt looks like she’s having a stroke or something . Though the angle does help, it looks better when you look at it tilted down slightly.

The “neutral” but still very angry sculpt looks better but Master team definitely takes the crown on this one.

Im so happy that I bought the master team sculpts when they were still available on ebay.
