Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Looks great.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Eh, I didn't care that much for the trailer just because I feel like it focused too much on the origin story. Seriously, they could show the trailer in place of the origin story and jump into the action. :lol

I'm excited for the movie, regardless of the trailer.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

It looks as good as it can with Evans and Johnston involved.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

They were just working. I just finished downloading the 1080P version.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Ah lets be nice to the kid. She's 13 getting a chance to do something cool for a few mintues. Let her have the time and then she'll go back to living a normal life.

When she does something cool I'll give her a break. Paying $2000 to a Teen Pop Star Factory so an adult can write a song that is auto-tuned to to death matched by a music video that looks like it was done on a MacBook using iMovie isn't exactly something cool. But hey she made approximately $27000 so far off of it and she is famous (abeit not the way I'm sure she planned) so kudos.

As for the trailer it looked pretty good, I got the same feel and vibe as I did when seeing the first Iron Man trailer. It might redeem the director at this point, of course if it comes out bad that trailer editor should get an Academy Award because it definitely did the job of making me want to see it. I'm definitely optimistic.

Who is this girl y'all are talking about? I'm so clueless on most popculture. :lol

Guess, It doesn't bother me enough to want to give a 13 year old some ____ over. She's a kid getting spoiled and what not. Not a big deal to me. I don't get my undies in a wad over such things I guess. :dunno

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

I guess thats how things function on that pedestal up there. :lol

Working in a Junior High, I hear that damn song all the time (as bad as it is, the company knows something since kids are latching to it mainly because it's now and counterculture things where it's trendy to like her because so many hate her, but the ____ing thing gets in your head) so yeah I'm annoyed by it but I will admit she is getting raked over the coals more than I thought a 13 year old would.

Like I said she wanted to be famous, here it is so kudos to her.

No pedestal at all. :dunno Its just not something on my radar that I care to even be bothered about. Just find it funny people getting worked up over. I got bigger issue to get worked up over thats all.

I understand. Been there done that with kids as you know. I heard enough of bands like the Jonas Brothers to make me want to vomit. Yes, I would also get stuff stuck in my head that they would sing or talk about. Its annoying but it is what it is. :lol

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Agreed it's definitely the psychological warfare our students play on their dear teachers and I'm sure my hairs will soon gray because of it. :lol :duff:

Mines already thinning and I've got a grey patch. :lol

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

The trailer gave me chills. Officially my most anticipated film of the year now.

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Tommy Lee's voiceover didn't bug anyone.

That's the only thing from the trailer that i'm still trying to convince myself it was good :lol

Re: The First Avenger: Captain America Discussion Thread

Holy cow. I can't wait to see this. This looks to be not just my favorite comic book movie this year, but one of my favorites, period. I'm so glad they stuck with the WWII setting.

He sounds like Tommy always sounds :dunno

I loved the, "And they will personally...escort Adolph Hitler...to the gates of hell" line. :rock
