not sure why they'd "apologize" being that people generally like COD:WAW more than they do MW2.

Yea I wasn't being all that serious, I'm sure it will do well also, though I think more people prefer MW1 and the originals to WAW. And you can probably blame some of the MW2 problems on what we all know happened.
In my book Battlefield Vietnam is still the best nam game. You could fly attack Huey's blasting Wagner from Apocalypse Now while airlifting a tank or boat all still capable of shooting at the enemey. Shellshock and Medal of Honor were pretty terrible as far as Vietnam games, but Vietcong was also kind of cool. With foliage today, I do look forward to seeing what they can do.
Just as long as boobytraps aren't the next generation of grenade spam.

oh yeah i mean i totally agree, and i got what you were saying. i really just think that this game will do much better than some might expect, being that IW is having problems and COD:WAW had very positive results. Now Treyarch has a chance of making a modern version, so it will be interesting to see how it goes down.
i'm still a battlefield bad company 2 fan more than a COD fan though

I got my rotorcraft and helicopter pilot's licencse after playing this game, it was that awesome.

Not a big fan of jungle environments in shooters so I'm not sure I like the Vietnam idea yet. Hopefully it'll have some variety.

Its definately a differant style of gameplay, Vietcong was really cool, you'd basically set booby traps and dig into trees and tunnels, it's kind of random but alot of fun and keeps gameplay fresher then just turning corners and spamming bullets and nades IMO.
