Another comparison. Main things sticking out to me are the suit colour. Which I will try to repaint when I get mine. And the shoulder armor(?) things are too big and sculpt isnt entirely accurate but thats a very small nitpick. I might switch them with the ones from my PT 1.0 if the scale of those are better.

I also hope the shade of red of the PT boots matches the SS ones bc I want to get the split cut boots on the SS body.
You forgot to mention the most glaring inaccuracy...THE FACE! lol

This is the 2nd time I've clicked on the thread thinking it said '"Highlander" lol

Way I see it is id rather lose $20 if a figure sucks than pay however much it is just to be disappointed and sell it off for probably the same loss, if not more as the NRD would be.
Yeah, this is very disappointing from SooSoo.

Body looks very good imo and Smiling Sculpt looks fine, while likeness is off he is still weirdly handsome. I'll be fine.

Just paid off the invoice from onesixthoutfitters. I'll reserve my judgement until I see it in hand. The thought of Star Ace being more accurate is blowing my mind :lol

Smiling face is far better than Star Ace. The heads all look exactly like what was promised at pre order despite better ones now existing. The body and suit are the best so far and the only thing that did downgrade from prototype was the one piece boots. All in all it is a fine release, while I was one of the many hoping the delays were due to upgrades I am not bitter that I am getting what I ordered. Bitter it took so long to release? Sure, but this figure is still the best in terms of proportions and suit material. I ain't disappointed in that. I am a little miffed that I will need to get the TE heads for any neutral expression but the smiling head is displayable.

Folk acting like this figure is a total failure, almost Star Ace bad are I think being over dramatic.

Pretty much. Some of the worst hyperbole takes in this thread. Thinking that figure looks worse than StarAce is laughable. Especially when StarAce was out there charging $300+ for their figure.

I don’t think it’s too hyperbolic to say that the Star Ace sculpts are better than the SooSoo ones. Waruna is a very talented sculptor, and his sculpts look a lot more like Antony Starr, compared to the SooSoo ones which remind me more of Billy Crudup. The final product for Star Ace is a mess, but the underlying sculpts are there.

The figure itself is far better than Star Ace, Star Ace just has a better likeness imo

It's completely pointless when the company behind said sculpts completing butchers them while charging $300+ for it. I'd understand if they actually produced something that was even an inch close to what was initially advertised but they couldn't even do that.

Hell, I'd even agree if StarAce was charging $50 for their version but we're talking about a figure that's $50 less than a sculpted haired INART figure for this:

It's straight criminal to be producing something like that while charging $300+ from people. I don't think any of the SooSoo sculpts are even good. I won't even be using any of them but at least they actually produced what they advertised to begin with, which is more then what can be said with StarAce. On top of that, they actually made a great looking body/suit for half the price. The likeness might be a miss but they didn't produce sculpts on a quality level that look like they belong on a Barbie doll.
