Do you think this costume will support a larger body?

I know it’s a bit early, but if you were going to swap this out, which alternate body would you use?
I don’t think it would need a full body swap really, just need some ankle extenders to give it a bit more height since he looks so squatty.

But, if you were to go for a full body swap, I think the outfit could handle it as it’s just screen printing on top of a spandex suit from the looks of it. And the stock body looks to be pretty bulky/muscular, just too short. If I were to do a fully body swap, I’d try it out on one of the Zica Toys bodies I have

Man, it's weird that there's been two comic-based Cyclops figures and they've both just been oddly interpreted.

The headsculpt on this one, it's something in the jaw area, where it looks too broad, like it's swollen or something. I'm just so set in my ways with the TAS/Jim Lee Cyclops that everyone's face is much more square-shaped, so the jaw should be more angular. Plus, 'V' on the suit seems weird. I'm wondering if that's just the top of an 'X', but I can't see where the bottom of it is on the suit. I get what they were going for, but I just don't dig it. And with not knowing how the suit fits together, swapping the body is too risky for me. if I have to sew the suit back on, I'm SOL.

Would have been nice to have had a portrait without the visor and just the red eyes (and a pair or ruby quartz glasses).
Assuming this line continues, I'd like to see Storm, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Iceman, Achangel (Angel variant), Psylocke, Havok, Polaris and Magneto. Colossus, Nightcrawler and Beast would also be great but consider them to be more longshots. All three would require special bodies. Conceivably Beast could be pulled off with flocked paint.
Would also be great to see comic takes on a few MCU characters such as Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Hawkeye. For the most part the MCU costumes have been well done, but those three fell a bit short IMO.

Really hope they do a Wolverine so I can finally have one in the collection that isn’t the animated styled Mondo one.

That would be great. It’s still crazy to me that Sideshow did a Wolverine figure without giving him an angry/screaming sculpt.
Their Brown Suit Wolverine is the only one that has an angry sculpt. It also came with an unmasked snarling sculpt. It’s probably one of their best figures to date.

Ah, the collectors that need it perfectly interpreted a certain, already established way. Not enough imagination to see it any other way. Well, I'll give you one benefit: you may be able to retire early by saving your money :D

If copying the XM statues for both costume design and diorama bases is what Present Toys intends on doing then I am all for it.
Those statues are great interpretations of the classic designs.
I just hope they’ll delve deep into the lineup of characters instead of merely churning out the big 3 of Wolverine, Cyclops, and Magneto and then calling it quits.

XM have produced a lot of the most recognisable characters already so PT have no shortage of ‘inspiration’ to fuel this line.
Here’s a taste of what we could be in for.

Yea XM has some great designs. Would be great if they go fairly deep into the line. I would love to have their version of Jean.

Sucks that it appears that SooSoo took from the XM Gambit and Rogue statue designs for their figures as I would think PT wouldn't revisit them then. SooSoo's Gambit is fine, but Rogue needs better than what SooSoo offered.

These designs are fantastic thanks for providing these shots.

The Gambit figure by SooSoo is my only X-Men figure. I was going to get their version of Rogue, but that figure is noticeably inferior to Gambit so I passed.

I did not think I had to plan for a bunch of X-Men figures in my collection but if PT produces figures based on the designs above I will feel compelled to get most of them because they look so good …particularly Omega Red and Apocalypse OMG!!!

POed the Deluxe from OSK. Although, not sure if I needed the base. I think they should have thrown in an additional incentive like an unmasked portrait. Hopefully Present Toys is moving away from KOs. Essentially reinterpreting XM statues as figures is a pretty smart idea if that’s what they’re is doing. Provided they don’t end up being bobble heads or otherwise screwed up, I’d be in for the line.

Beyond the X-Men, XM has done great comic takes on the Avengers, Spider-Man villains, and solo heroes like Daredevil. Not to mention their 1/6 DC line. I don’t know what their production runs typically are, but I’m sure selling 300 to 500/per wouldn’t be a problem as long as they can stay one step ahead of any C&Ds.

Given that 3rd party/UL companies are now able to sell figures for roughly $200 a pop (and sell out) that market is only going to get bigger. At this point HT is boxed in to their big licenses and higher price points. While I am still buying some HT releases, it’s much more selective and maybe 1/3 of what it’s been in previous years. I’m less interested in 3rd tier characters, reissues, and gimmicks. Whereas companies like SooSoo, Toys Era, Mars and Present are releasing new lines and/or neglected characters.

HT is also facing competition on the high end side from InArt, and maybe JND in the future. For the most part I’m looking to those companies to push the competitive envelope on hyperrealistic A-List characters like Superman (HC & CR), Batman (CB, BA & RP), Aquaman, Captain America, Thor, Anakin, Obi-Wan & Padme, and Luke, Leia & Han, Indiana Jones and others.

Looks more like a hybrid between xm and iron studios statues. Just based on a quick look, the body suit is similar to iron studios while the harness is similar to xm . Preordered the deluxe with onesixthoutfitters. Hopefully they make a professor x and wolverine. Personally not interested in Magneto.
