Good God man!!!! I mis read that so we could build a battle cruiser and a few Tie fighters!!, shall I pop round tomorrow?????

LOL I was thinking of using it to build an extension on the house to hold all this crap!

But pop in for Tea and Buns and we'll see what we come up with.

DG that looks great m8 u cut that so nicely. Can u paint that foam board?

Dorgs wanna pitch in and get some together? if thats ok with DG :D

Im also gonna have to get some of that shiny black plastic for some flooring that looks cool.

Well im gonna wanna do some tatooine buildings and a base of sorts for Vader and me stormies sometime soon. I'd like to avoid the MDF route if possible.

Sounds good to me! The shinny floors cool you can get it from most arty farty shops.

No problem with me! I'll find out the cost, but... Avon Graphics won't split the box and make two deliveries, so either it goes to one of you and then you've got to courier some massive sheets cross country, or I'll see what it costs to come to me and then I send out to the pair of you. Do you really need it this big? If not I can probably get smaller sheets supplied.

Have a chat amongst yourselves and let me know. :D

The foam board would be very handy for doorways and smaller bits etc that would be great. MDF for walls would do the rest.

Don't think this is the right place for Violet's Rocket so I'm popping a W.I.P. in Uncle Chewies Custom Chop Shop!

"I tried to make it a bit Star Warsie so no one complains Tee Hee!

Had an hour free tonight, so I thought I'd go back to this and add some side walls.

She's a big Gal. The tables 6'6" long!

I'm normally really (insert word for bumhole here - forum wont let me say ____, LOL) with stuff like this. All the angles have to be exact. Measure every gap to the half millimeter. But this time I decided to just have some fun, chuck it together and see how she goes.

I intend to add lots of little details here and there and eventually give it a coat of paint, but like I said in post 1, it's gonna be "as and when"

Kind of Tantive IV inspired but I've purposefully NOT looked at any reference shots to keep it "generic" and usable for any Sci-Fi shoot I want to do.

Thanks for looking!

DG

Oh, and on a side note... Sideshow. You need to sort out GLOSSY ARMOUR! One of these troopers is looking dull, dull, dull!!!

Great work DG. Very inspiring to have a crack at something similar myself...maybe that big round window behind the Emperor's throne in ROTJ...
I think between you and Dorg, you have the Star Wars vehicles and environments market cornered! It's like Arnie and Stallone in their 80's heyday outdoing each other! Keep it up guys

LOL Thanks Wanderer but I think Dorgs has me beat. The man's a machine!

yep, I agree. He is the official head customizer here IMO.

I know which trooper is really dull by the way... the one who grabbed a helmet with no visor to look through! He ain't so bright.. :lol

Paint the helmet or build the Walls? These are just two of the questions we have to face. Today the walls won.

Nice, the non specific approach is a good one, it will make a good dio setup for all kinds of stuff.

The clean white look reminded me of Besbin, except maybe the door.
