Thanks, you guys are so awesome!! Very convincing thoughts on both sides! I honestly like them both equally for different reasons, but I will say what I based my decision on: The 1/4 45 will be beautiful in hand, I just know it, but the 1/6 scale version appears to be REALLY well done, plus, I personally love die cast iron men and it's going to be awesome that way. Secondly, You just can't beat that Tony Stark head-sculpt on the 1/4 43, plus I already have a Mark 42 1/6 scale which is a really good figure and close enough to satisfy any need for a 1/6 43. The 1/4 43 has more light up features, which I'm a sucker for, plus it had way more movie time. In the end, I still get the best of both worlds with going with a 1/4 43 and a 1/6 45!
I was just wondering who else struggled with a thought process similar :)

It's what a lot of people are doing. The WOW factor from the 1/6 Mark 45 to the 1/4 version isn't as high compared to the Mark 43. They did the 1/6 Mark 45 quite well from the start.

Im curious about that secret accessory of the 45 1/4. Cant think about anything, just an open up helmet showing his face inside. That would be awesome.

I'm guessing it will be some sort of head sculpt. Especially since that is one of the main selling points for the 43

Really hard to think logically when it comes to awesome figure such as 1/4 mk 43 and 1/4 mk 45...so I ordered both 😂😂😂😂

45 always looks like he is wearing boxing gloves to me!

the hand guard is different in the movie. hope HT can fix it, like they did with the 43's missile launcher.

Just over the past weekend Hot Toys has officially released the first 1/4th scale Iron Man collectible figure! It has met with very positive response from customers who have gotten their hands on this astonishing collectible!

This Mark XLIII is the definitive Iron Man quarter scale collectible figure by Hot Toys which has been embedded with stunning likeness, movie-accurate proportions, spectacular details, remarkable paint application, and ourstanding articulations!

None of these great feats would have been possible if it wasn’t for Hot Toys’ extraordinary team. Each of our team members have put in lots of great effort to bring fans this truly amazing collectible figure!

Our immensely talented Korean artists have devoted lots of time to perfect the head sculpt and capture the unique likeness of the beloved Robert Downey Jr. Our product designer continues to raise the bar and push the limits of collectible figure by implementing movie-accurate details while maintaining great amount of articulations that fans love to see in collectible figures.

To let fans relive the battle between Iron Man and Ultron’s army in Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron, we have specially created the Ultron Sentry diorama figure base that can provide various display options for fans. The painting on the armor is also a crucial component for the figure which we have spent much effort in order to capture the metallic nature of the Iron Man suit from the movie.

Last but not least, in addition to the high quality of the collectible figure itself, we also value the package design very highly as our package designer has worked hard to create a design that will amaze fans before they even open the box.

For fans who have ordered this Mark XLIII 1/4th scale collectible figure, we hope you will be a proud owner of this phenomenal collaborative work our team has created for you.

This is the figure that will grow the 1/4 base. I guarantee that once you receive it you will at least consider adding another 1/4 at some point! Welcome all to the 1/4 family haha

YEah and just wait until the 1/4 scale Diecast Ironman's start coming O_O

Considering this is the first 1/4 scale Iron Man figure from Hot Toys (which is already being hailed as 'perfection'), can we safely assume that the company will officially "retire" this figure once it's sold out?

I don't know why but I've got a strange feeling that it will be re-released a few years down the road. Whether it be a memorial edition, anniversary edition, repaint, etc...

I honestly hope they retire it and begin concentrating on some of the other iconic armors like the MK III or VII for their 1/4 scale line up.

On a side note, I hope they make a 1/4 Hulkbuster that allows you to insert the entire 1/4 MK 43 figure inside =D that would be amazing

I'd say a Mk42 "repaint" is a given because its the same armor sans color, but I also imagine they will continue at this scale as well. Not HPP armors, but within the original 7 I am completely expecting to see those sooner rather than later.

MK42 just makes too much business sense to not do it. I can see them doing it with a few battle damaged swappable parts and a helmeted Tony Stark sculpt.

It would be like printing money.
