Such a beautiful piece, but I think the base will have to go on mine. Sorry to say but the veneer looks really bad and cheap. Pity. Wonder how this is fixated on there (screw or glue?).

The production piece actually seems to have a superior likeness to Reeve than the SDCC pic posted above.

Congrats to the the owners. The color scheme and upper lip kill it for me since not only is it stylized as, say, a CM would be , it also makes it look unalluring imho.
