Ah gotcha so its not an issue of the sculpt just the paint application? I can't imagine a sculpt looking more accurate to this character. Looks better than all the statues, figures, etc.

You can go with him, or wait for OT customs to put up more of his collars for sale. He just put up some unpainted ones (I snagged one) but he'll put up more of his fully painted one's in a month or so from now and you can get it then. Plus before some say it's to risky to go with him due to low communication, he's only putting up in stock items now so when you order something it should ship within the week.
Oh ok, what does it look like unpainted? Paint really worries me, I prefer the materials cast in black at minimum, is the quality of painted ones good?
It's in grey and I believe it's preped for painting which looks sanded. Once painted then the velcro is supposed to be added to the tip of the collar to attach to the suit. This is what the unpainted prototype looks like (seems it's the only one available atm) so I imagine it looks like this. Personally I think his painted versions are done good enough to were paint won't fall off as you can see from the images. He also suggested to cut the cape in half in order to use his collar which is the same mod Unreal suggested for his collar also.
I thinks it’s because the custom parts were created and made available so close to the figures release. All the custom stuff for the Nolan figures had been years in the making with many revisions.
You are getting thrown off the by the paint application and how much lip colored paint is being applied over that part of the sculpt. The lips themselves are pixel accurate to Robert Pattinson's face.
