I thought the film was amazing. The writing was fantastic and the acting from the cast at times was really powerful, Bassett was on fire!
I liked Coogler’s version of Namor, sympathetic, but when needed….kinda terrifying. Seeing his gentle side when he talks about his people and then seeing him rally for war was well done. When he comes for Wakanda i felt genuinely worried for them.
Boseman’s presence was felt all over the film, solid tribute to him. Those last few minutes at the end on the beach in Haiti really got me choked up. The whole cinema was dead silent.
Movie is long, but its engaging all the way through so i honestly had no issues with the length.
The first BP has more re-watchability, but i still prefer BP 2 because it just touches on so many great themes and the acting from film 1-2 is a huge step.

I am an apolitical person I have major issues with both sides of the aisle here in the states.
I am the party of me!
My time is way too precious and short to waste it away arguing about politics.
But in Disney’s rush to make black women strong they completely held up the stereotype that black men abandon their families by only showing black women protecting Wakanda and then doubled down on their stupidity by making their female leaders fail to protect their families when Namor attacks!
Where did all of their males go from BP1/IW/EG to BP2?
So no men around to help their women and then the women fail and EVEN
Then it made no sense to have Shuri be BP instead of their main warrior Okoye.

I enjoyed the film. The third act was the usual CGI fest, but I liked the cast. Namor was cool, even if he wasn't physically impressive.

Every time I see Infinity War, I wonder why a people and culture so technologically advanced and with so much wealth, couldn't build some artillery, mortars, tanks, bombers and machine gun nests. And helmets.
I mean T'Challa could have even gotten a sponsorship deal with a skateboard company and gotten some skateboard helmets for free. Think about how much CTE that happened on that battlefield, well the remaining infantry that weren't mauled to death.
Is Cameron going to blame Avatar's high drop-off in the 2nd week on Disney's overuse of underwater shenanigans in BP2?
