As everyone debates whether this is Margot or not, when I get her in I'm going to be enjoying how incredible as a whole statue it is, possibly being one of the best statues created to do with film as a mass market object. Not seeing the mouth too big or this or that, instead I'm seeing what a great portrayal of the character at an incredible scale with immaculate mixed media tailoring, realism, and presense.

Personally, I think this is nothing short of a masterpiece - and I don't have any stake in the game as I'm not getting it.

The teeth are mind blowing and even better than the prototype. The likeness is amazing (maybe not 100%, but damn close; and in-hand will be even better). The skin, clothing, tattoos... everything is jaw-dropping.

The only thing I don't like is that they modified the shorts on her butt. The slightly shorter ones seems more screen accurate.

I agree man. People here get so caught up with whether it looks 100% like the actor or not that they lose sight of the overall picture. People here do this a lot with JND statues, and I noticed it's always those who don't own the piece and never had any intention of buying it anyway.

End of the day, you can easily tell who it's supposed to be. Now people can argue that's not good enough when paying this much money, but the overall quality is so mind-blowingly good that it gets a pass. I mean, it's not like the likeness is 70%, which would be unforgivable. It's damn close. To me this is easily the most impressive Harley statue ever released.

None of JND's statues have been 100% spot on in terms of likeness, but they've all been close enough IMO, and the overall quality puts them far ahead of anything else I've seen in person. Anyone who's lucky enough to own a JND piece will understand what I mean. It's like owning a shrunken down version of the character. Truly museum-level collectibles.

Congrats to anyone getting this. To me it's probably JND's most impressive statue to date, although I'm not getting it as I have no interest in the character.

The statue is gorgeous, but they are still attempting to replicate an existing person so it’s only normal people are going to look how accurate that likeness is.

Yep, the closer they get to real life, the more uncanny valley and off it looks, ironically

While I hope the Bale gets the portrait better, I have no JND. What I have noticed is those who collect JND can turn a blind eye to accuracy versus craftsmanship. If this is JND’ approach and market then it makes sense. What it seems is those prefer the best made statue and quality versus a super accurate but lower quality/materials. It seems the statue companies who make larger pieces like busts can accomplish both realistic and accurate portraits/accuracy. Perhaps the silicone in such a small scale forbids it? Even Cinemaquette didn’t do the likeness well but the realism and attention to detail is what saves it.

However, I don’t see why again for the price, would you not be more critical? HT gets a ton of heat for headsculpt and those are $300/piece. Why can’t we expect the same of JND at $2400+? Especially at a lower run and more intimate marketing. They should do more updates so if changes are needed they can catch it. This is where QS stands above them in terms of communication. I’ll give JND the best made statue but I give QS the best made portraits. If you combine the two it would be hands down the best statue company.

Yeah it can be hard to stay objective when you have real money on the line. Although even before I placed my order I thought the likeness was stronger than many others seemed to at the time (or I wouldn't have committed to spending so much in the first place), so hopefully my opinion hasn't been swayed too much by that.

Again, it's clearly not the best Robbie likeness ever, but I think it captures her well enough. And the overall sexiness of the piece kinda makes up for everything else in my opinion.

Fully agree on all points except I don't think queen listens as much as they appear to, their communication is great and they have changed pieces before from collector feedback, i just don't think it's as common now as i see lots of good suggestions on FB with a standard reply which means thanks for the feedback, but nothing will change. Aside from that you're spot on. Give me a better likeness any day. Comic pieces I couldn't care less, but when it's meant to look like a real life actor, I have to choose accuracy

It's an amazing piece, no doubt. It will be a real show stealer and i imagine people will be drawn to it when they see it in your collection. It's always refreshing to see JND collectors who can objectively critique their pieces, we do it with statues from other companies so it stands to rights we should do it even more with such expensive statues. That's why I like BSC on youtube, he always gives honest and fair pros and cons to any piece, rather than fanboying it lol

My take on this is that no statue is perfect or has the perfect likeness. They all have flaws. I'm a JND owner and while I don't turn a blind eye, I'm just more forgiving. Reason being is that to me, they've all been fairly close in terms of likeness. Only one I haven't really liked is Catwoman, so I'm willing to overlook an absolutely perfect spot on likeness because the rest of the statue is so damn good and it still looks like the actor (generally speaking, not Catwoman). I think this is the point that some of us are trying to make.

So if there are 2 statues, one is a JND made with top of the line craftsmanship and a production piece that is virtually 95% of the prototype, and one from a competing manufacturer with much lower quality/craftsmanship and nothing like the prototype, but the difference in likeness between the 2 is minimal (i.e. if the competing product has a slightly better likeness, lets say its 95% accurate and the JND piece is 90% accurate), I'm choosing the JND piece, because at that point its a moot point to me, both still look like the actor, but I'm choosing the vastly superior quality product.

Where it's an issue for me is when the likeness is downright bad, like 70% or below. This was the case with Cinemaquette for me. Most of their statues were quite bad in terms of likeness, and I had seen every single one of them in person. The quality of them was great, very premium, however, I couldn't buy something that didn't even look like the actor (their Bruce Lee is one of their worst examples). Some of them were okay though, like their RDJ Iron Man. This is when being so critical is justified IMO.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being critical, I just think it can be way over the top on this forum. Some people will carry on as though it looks nothing like the actor, which is really silly to me. I used to collect Hot Toys and I don't recall them getting a ton of heat unless a production piece turned out really bad, or the likeness on a prototype was just downright shocking. Anything that was somewhat decent was met with praise from my experience.
I collect both JND and QS. I'll just buy whatever looks good to me. QS don't always get the headsculpts right from my experience, especially when it comes to production. They did do a better Catwoman portrait than JND, but JND did a better Batman (both Bale and Pattinson). Both companies are improving IMO. The quality of both JND and Queen Studios headsculpts including their likenesses have gotten way better since their earlier attempts.

My GF is watching Hart of dixie (yes, my GF, not me!) and Jaime King reminds me of this statue:

I wouldn't say it was a fix, they just weren't pulled up all the way. They could have shipped it like that and all you'd have to do is hoist them. Not long to go now!

WOW!
So happy I got this ordered. Really enjoyed the film and the character, although not a favourite character enough for me to buy her, but the artistry of the pice made me do it nonetheless. Without even having it in hand, just from seeing this video alone of a PRODUCTION PIECE! This has to be the best statue released in any format in terms of realism and mixed media. Absolutely outstanding job from JND, can't wait to receive it!

Watching that in 4k, the details are incredible. I think they overdid the skin texture a little on her wrists and neck, and I wonder if the gold jewellery will end up marking the silicone over time. I still hate the stocking lines, they look so ugly in the vid. She still looks amazing overall though

Apparently everything is removable so you could remove the stocking.
