Awesome pose. Mine is going to be delivered today. I wanted the standard, but SS was sold out, so I had to get the Exclusive. I had $80 in reward points, and when you combine that with the free shipping that SS was offering, it was a good deal.

Any tips to get this figure back in the foam without breaking it? This is my first foam dealing.
Am I more paranoid then I should be getting this back in the box?

I haven't dealt with unpacking/re-packing this 1/4 Iron Man, but from my recent experience with the 1/4 Spider-Man, yep the foam is super snug around the figure. What I did was sort of spread out the opening where the figure lays and gently nestle it in, and the leg area too. I think I did that too with my other 1/4 figures, come to recall it.

Thanks!
I managed to get it in safely, but it wasn’t as easy as a figure of that cost should be. At least it stays snug I guess.

hi, I’m finally able to get this figure as this is my favorite iron man armor. are there anything to watch out for while handling him?

The 1/6 Mark III is probably the worst diecast Iron Man Hot Toys has made. As a figure, the lack of posability is a major flaw to me. Also, if you get the 1/4, you won't have the temptation of getting other 1/6 pieces to go along with it (and then get annoyed when you realize the 1/6 Mark III is more than a half inch shorter than the other armors)

For those people that have owned both; would you say the 1/4 or the diecast 1/6 is the one to go with?

I’m torn.
It really depends on the scale you collect. If you don't have any figures, then 1/4 scale is the way to go for the reasons others have stated. I collect 1/6 scale (and smaller), so 1/4 scale stood out too much for me. It does have much better paint apps and articulation (and lighting effects), but it didn't quite fit my collection (your situation may be different). To my eyes though, the 1/4 scale figure looked very similar to the 1/6 in terms of proportions, and if I recall, it's also a bit undersized compared to other 1/4 scale IM figures.

The diecast 1/6 has its issues, but the diecast ones I've owned (Mark III, VII, and XLII) all have issues in terms of matching the on-screen look/proportions. The lack of articulation sucks, as does the inaccurate red color (which looks wildly different under different lighting situations). But if I have to keep one 1/6 version, I'm keeping the Mark III (I know I'm in the minority on this one). It fits in well with my MCU Phase 1 shelf, and in a dynamic flight pose, it doesn't look undersized at all (I'd also argue the diecast releases for Marks IV and later are oversized... again, in the minority here).

This^

The 1/6 Diecast Mark 3 is probably the worst diecast Iron Man that they've done since they started doing these diecast IM figures. Zero ab articulation (you get a stupid gimmicky ab piece to swap out for a superhero landing pose), zero butterfly shoulder articulation like all the other IM figures, zero ankle left/right articulation and the figure is like 2 inches shorter than the rest.

It's horrible in my opinion. Go for the 1/4 if you can grab it for under retail. I've seen it go for below $500 a few times on the market.

might need to add a movie poster as a background and I’m done 😁

I think others mentioned to be careful when moving the sliding panels on his forearm, as they can be a bit fiddly.

Looks fantastic! That'd be a great display!

My dream display would be to have a film poster with this 1/4 Mark III towering in front, then the 1/6 gantry just a bit below with a Tony Stark figure standing in the middle of it.
