How do we get on the list for this one, Spenser? I?ve noticed most everything has moved to private Facebook groups over the last few years, but I?m not seeing one dedicated to your work.
OK I've purchased some really nice customs and tailored pieces throughout the years and I have to call BS on the price of these. The suit is almost as much as the figure and it doesn't even include shoes, belt or tools. The plutonium case looks like it may be great, but I can't tell from the...
Next year is the 40th anniversary of the theatrical release of The Empire Strikes Back. It will be the marketing push for 2020 with the ST wrapping up at the end of this year. I'd not only expect Han Bespin and Lando, but Han and Luke Hoth. I think a Leia Bespin Escape as a SDCC exclusive would...
They need to make sure they have solid cases of that Stormtrooper available to e-com shops becasue at the rate at which everything is selling out on pre-order for the Jabba stuff, that Stormtrooper is going to be a top seller.
Not only is there a Leia, there is an old POTF2 playset that could serve as a good starting point if you want to salvage some parts.
The Leia is from the VOTC line, which was Hasbro's entry point into super-articulated 3-3/4-inch figures on vintage-style cards. The playset is the POTF2 Death...
You're better off making it yourself, espeicaly since you've already cut a base and are handy. You can buy large sheets at Home Depot / Lowes and cut them to size with a table saw or circular saw (fine tooth blade). Buff out the edges (I use a dremel) so they're clean and glue with acrylic...
If I'm not mistaken, Jabba's dais in the palace and on the sail barge were different. The one on the barge was more pillow like. Artoo didn't appear with the drink dispensor until the barge, so technically you don't need the Sideshow figure if you're going for an environment-accurate display.
But as Director Krennic has illustrated, there is a willingness on Hot Toys' part to resurrect something that we thought was dead. Unless the character returns (maybe in the Mandelorean) and we just don't know about it, I think there's still a glimmer of hope.
I wonder if this has anything to do with Disney buying Fox. Could be that we can see figures that were in limbo in the past like some of the X-Men figures. It could also mean that Disney will look at reissuing the Star Wars OT sans special edition edits so there would most likely be some...
The display in those pics look amazing! With Hot Toys offering a Director Krennic from Rogue One, I'm still keeping a slim hope that we will see the '66 Batmobile and Joker one day. At the very least I'm hoping the whole 2019 big announcement is their commitment to going back and making fan...
Beast Kingdom makes some magnetically levitating figures and vehicles as part of their Egg Attack series (Kids Logic also made a BTTF DeLorean). Having some experience with just about every one of those items, my recommendation would be against a magnetic levitating system. As cool as they look...
