Thanks! Yes, I heard about this online. Unfortunately, I did not know until after I sent SS my initial replacement request. I have since then updated them and let them know I will need a new hand to fit the staff arm... lets see if they come through or not.
Was just checking in on this thread again, just to see how collectors are doing with this piece. Its great, but I am still waiting for my replacement parts from SS (staff arm and EX cowl hand). The same is true of many people. There are a lot of the same cases on the Prime1 FB group.

A few people received him with a broken leg. This was the most serious of the issues, but I have heard of only 2-3 people that had this problem. (Not my statue)
The other more common issues are fitment issues: (The two images below are of my statue.)
The right pole/staff arm does not sit...
Well I am floored, but there were some of the typical QC issues with this piece. The gaps on the right pole arm and the ex/cowl hand are present. Already emailed sideshow today and am waiting for a response.
Hopefully, they can offer replacement pieces. (I know P1 made and shipped replacements...
I'm in the same boat. Hoping Prime 1's is the winner. Just can't bring myself to like this SS PF. (But congrats to all those that like and PO'd him.)
Lets hope we see an update on this sometime soon:
Man...if only they had a license to distribute in the US so these 1/4 pieces could stay under $1k...
I have no interest in the character, but their work is so good I would get this anyways.
My last Flex pay will be later this month. In my experience, they do not send emails or contact you until the final payment is made and they're ready to ship. Yes, SS's line is typically busy. I have had much better results via email or their live chat. I recommend the live chat. Just initiate...
Thanks for taking the time to post pics! Yeah, it could be that you got a dud that missed some paint apps and got pass QC. (I can't really tell in the pics, but I will definitely keep an eye out when I receive mine.)
As someone that does not own any XM statues, this is a really interesting topic to me. Based on pictures, some XM's look like they have great paint jobs (Wolverine, Phoenix, Mysterio) but some of their more celebrated statues appear to have (in pics) very , very bland paint applications despite...
Oh I haven't seen Radd's review yet, I'll have to check it out. But I have seen alot of other unboxing vids and many pictures. I know there were plenty of defects (broken statues and pieces that dont fit/sit right), but I have yet to see pictures with bad paint applications or a lack of paint...
With this piece on order, I'm really interested in seeing what you mean. Sorry to be a bother, but could you take a picture or use other pictures already posted to point out the areas where you think the paint is cheap or where it simply has a bad paint application? I think it would help a lot...
It won the "X-Large" category, which is anything bigger than 1/4. (Not sure if it includes 1/2 and life size?). I believe its now up for Craftsmanship of the year, but will likely loose to XM Ghost Rider. Still...in pictures....it looks more detailed than GR to me.
My waitlist converted into an order today! (FYI - they still allowed me to get on a payment plan, but divided into only 2 payments.) Can't wait to get this guy! Hoping I get lucky with an issue-free one.
