Still not sure why this thread remains in the statue section, but anyway...

Just came across this today...

Apparently same guy is working on a Mighty Wez too. Link: https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/interest-threads/188087-art-figs-project-ideas-welcomed-7.html

Siquisiri is running projects for Art Figs. He needs 10 interested to start a project.

I'm not familiar with their projects or their pricing, but hell... it's Humungus and Wez. How could I say no?

Yeah why is this in the statue section it needs to be moved! Heres mine so far only got the head atm hair mods and paint by my brother. Original sculpt by will ( can't remember his last name). What do yas think?

I would LOVE to get a Hot Toys quality version of this Mad Max.

I'm truly surprised it hasn't been done yet, unless the license cost is prohibitive...

Apparently, Max is at the top of Neca's wish list. But the buck stops with George Miller and they've had no joy. I assume it's the same situation with other companies, HT etc.

Finally this found its way back to the action figures section after years of being lost.

Along with Indiana Jones, this project has been the most elusive to me in completion -- I still seek that perfect head. I have almost everything to build a RW Max, some items I've had since the early 2000s... and I've got half dozen heads or so in that time.

Now that Indy is done, I'd really love to complete that other "hero" from 1981.

Wish I could say the same about this. I only have a custom tom max. Wish I instead made a mel version though it's never to late only the availability of gear sucks.

Yeah, Dave or a mod changed the title to "speculation" -- which I think is a misnomer -- but perhaps due to recent events around here.

It started as all other threads -- just a place to discuss all things Mad Max.

I just need to find the correct Mad Max jacket that dont cost me a fortune, have everything else to make up my Road Warrior....think will end using one of those genereic biker jackets from ebay in the end....since no luck with the accurate one.

Totally agree with Wor-Gar. I'd love to see a definitive Road Warrior sculpt from a great talent like K.A. Kim. I would also like to see another Iris tailored run of her Road warrior outfit tailored to a Slim build hot toys figure. The tailoring was outstanding on that set. I honestly can't ever see Miller permitting an officially licensed figure though. Like Blade Runner (the original), Mad Max 2 remains one of the most elusive licences for a 1/6 toy manufacturer to acquire.

Think the only Road Warrior licence things that have been available is the short lived small scale action figures...saw those at my local Toys R Us(RIP)....was waiting for the release of their Interceptor car...there was a photo of the model on the back of the figure cartons....but...think only about three or four figures where released of the line...and then...disapear for ever. The other item was the Road Warrior Interceptor with full damage from Auto Art in 1/18 scale Die cast....quite an expensive model now.
