Just an update on my wild gunman. Im still working on the screen. It's ready and working. I need to put in the glass in the front. Over all I think it's looking quite grand.

Now this is just dope amazing job man. Still so tempted to pick this Marty up even though I own the first one and the DeLorean but rewatching the film tonight with my girlfriend is pushing me closer to doing so. The sculpt on this is amazing.

Thanks man. I'll put up more posts as I get it done. I made the front glass for it. Now I just have to remove the logos and redo them.

Looking good on the cabinet. I'm thinking of making one myself. I'm thinking of filling in the wood with primer first before painting and then sealing with lacquer to really give it a solid look.

Is this still due to be released? Not cancelled is it? I've been enjoying BTTF with the kids and would like to get one.

Also does anyone know of a custom outfit of his look in 1955 from the first film - when he invented the skateboard?

I don't know of any Hot Toys figure released for pre-order that was cancelled, so I wouldn't worry about that. I've seen a custom of that version of Marty, but it's been a few years.

They will both be released. It's just a question of when.

I do have to say I've lost interest in this figure though at the moment, mainly because I have no interest in the Doc Brown figure based on what has been shown. I don't need two Martys on my shelf without a suitable Doc Brown.

Thanks everyone. It was looking at the first page of this thread - posted two years ago - that made me think this was a goner. I suppose once Hot Toys have got your money there's no way they'll be giving it back.

I'm still looking forward to both. Pretty sure the Doc figure will be improved before released. No danger they will be cancelled but sadly I wouldn't shocked if they are delayed until nearer the end of the year.

To be fair, this thread was started prematurely, when they were first teasing the figure. It's been on pre-order for about 9 months, so it's standard wait time.

I'm fairly certain Hot Toys have never cancelled a release they took pre-orders for. This figure isn't even supposed to release until between July and September going by the Sideshow page.
