The fighting system in this game is very good and a big part of that is the control system. The Y button will strike/attack with your weapon. Left shoulder button brings up your shield but not if you're wielding a 2-handed weapon. The Right shoulder button gets your bow out and ready, but you could also press and hold to quickly draw the string back, aim, and release. I love the stealth component! Click the Left thumbstick to squat and sneak up on things. I haven't seen any horses yet but I did catch me a few lizards. LOL!

I didn't think cooking would be this fun. I didn't enjoy it in Skyrim, but here, you see Link carrying every ingredient on-screen before he throws it into the wok. Yeah, it looks like a wok. Haha! The ingredients dance around in it too before they cook. The 5-heart omelet is awesome!

Sorry to hear of the Amazon ***k up but hang in there guys. The 98% you read on metacritic is spot on.

I wonder how long it will be before a steady supply of these will be available now that the initial PO circus is over. I was debating on doing a 1st day purchase because of the price point and I thought I'd be able to wait it out due to lack of time through work and all but, the hype is getting to me :lol Targets website shows that a lot of the local shops have these in stock. Unfortunately, the site is not updated as all of them are out of stock. I saw a special edition botw at a local walmart though, which was a surprise to me. I would of thought those were pretty sought after.

If you're still looking, check out one of the "in stock" websites that constantly checks the status across multiple websites. That's how I saw that Wal-Mart got theirs in stock. It also shows you where it was in stock recently.

Grab the Special Edition if you can.
It's a great value. I was especially surprised by the collectible coin.
It's very heavy for its size and already comes in a displayable/protective clear case.
I haven't had a chance yet to listen to the CD soundtrack but I'm assuming it won't disappoint.

Welp, looks like "let me speak to your supervisor" worked this time around. Woke up to an "out for delivery" notification but when I walked outside to let the dogs out, it was already on my doorstep...time to ****ing play some mother ****ing Zelda.....after this damn system update :lol

I'm enjoying the hell out of the Switch and Zelda

Only complain I have with the switch is that the dock seems to not have some sort of rubber or anything to prevent the system from scratching when docking the system. Will this be a problem do you guys think?
I know somebody who already has scratched theirs from the dock. Be careful.

Love this thing though. Awesome load times (compared to 3ds and or wiiu) and I adore the ui. Seriously you people owe it to yourselves to pick this thing up, I understand the worry behind 3rd party support but the more people that break down and buy this the less likely it will be an issue. Also, zelda so far is definitely living up to the reviews if it keeps up then I think I'll feel like I got my money's worth out of this system just for zelda.

So far I'm enjoying it, though it's tough to get used to the buttons compared to the Xbox controller, I think they make more sense the other way around where the bottom button is the one you're most likely to want to use so it should be A. I'll probably get a pro controller eventually

Yeah, the buttons messed me up at first; I think I'm getting used to them though.

So far it froze on me once while playing Zelda, so hopefully that won't happen again. Love the system tho.

I'm not getting one, but I am curious how this "docking" works. Does the tablet plug into the dock or just literally sets on it?

It's a micro hdmi port with a kind of plastic cradle around it that pushes down with light pressure. Makes it much more efficient putting it into the dock than just trying to eyeball it.

I figured there was a port but never seen any pictures. Thanks for taking the time to take one for me. Enjoy!

I knew the Pro controller was a must for me.
Glad I got one. The joycons are just too small for my hands. The buttons are tiny and I was easily pressing two of them at once. I also had to keep looking down to see it. The Pro takes care of all of that.

There's also a hidden message under the Right Analog stick...

I spent a few hours tonight unboxing and checking out the OS. Haven't even played Zelda....and I'm already in love. :lol

So I'm a little curious about the issue with the screen scratching. During live events and during demos where the docking/undocking of the system has happened countless amounts of time, has this not been an issue? These were just released and people are already having issues with screens being scratched yet, we haven't (or have we?) heard about this happening during demos.

Nintendo has not said anything about it yet. It is a design flaw but there is ways you can prevent it from scratching like having a screen protector. Also by slowly docking it straight down. There are other ways but the was the simplest way for me. Does suck that Nintendo did not think this through.
