I know right? Makes it sound way more interesting than what was advertised. Does Problem Child have a subplot about the war on drugs or human trafficking?

Yes. The bad guy is also a vet, who just so happens to test out experimental munitions on pets as a side job.

Some pretty high quality talent at his disposal, though. The thugs are played by Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt.

TRUMBO. Brian Cranston. I thought I'd be bored and shut off but Cranston does a great job and story picks up and gets interesting as go's i give it a 6.

But for any parents out there, there was one pretty weird and extremely disturbing plot point. The whole motivation behind the bad guys is that they are abducting dogs for the purpose of. . .testing how messy it gets when they shoot dogs with newly developed bullets, in the skull. Not joking about that. Thankfully, that part flew over the head of my 5 year old. But pretty ****ed up. Hard to believe they couldn't find a more kid friendly device to get the bad guys comically chasing dogs around.

Eh. Is that any worse than skinning dalmatian puppies for coats? That kind of thing goes over every kids' head ... and it's absurd enough that no adult will find it controversial. Everybody's on the same side, no young'uns put 2+2 together, and nobody's taking it seriously. Sounds like a perfect plot device for a dog movie.

Bah it's Disney and they apparently can do no wrong. They have a history of screwed up story lines and racism in their old children's movies.

First Blood - 9.5/10

Such a breath of fresh air. They really don't make action movies like this one any more, where's there's grit and grime and everything is done with stunt work and pyrotechnics, all on location, on some freezing mountain somewhere that's wet and muddy and hard to access, in addition to having a plot and thoughtful characterisation. This one is a gem. No cut corners or Hollywood laziness here.

And it's also a great Christmas/Holiday day film I never noticed until yesterday that it took place during the holiday season.

Watched Memento for the first time last night. Wasn't expecting to like it so much as I am not really a fan of Nolan's films but I got really into it, really enjoyed it. Gotta pick it up on blu Ray now.

My hatred stems from Terminator Genisys and those Divergent movies, but then those movies could make you hate just about anything.

I still haven't seen the last Terminator and don't know anything about those Divergent movies. I think I'll just relish my Jai Courtney ignorance. Hopefully he doesn't make me wonder what happens in Divergent:Regurgent while I'm watching Suicide Squad.
