I think some freaks just can't bring themselves to admit that Sideshow got something right. :p

I think it's fine actually. Just not 2016, $200+ fine.
Is it the best commercially released Indiana Jones *head*? Yes, undoubtedly. No question. Is it a fantastic Indiana Jones? Nope. But it's better than the previous release which was years ago.

But is it a great high end 1/6 figure release? Absolutely not.
We should be expecting a lot more for our money.

I bet when toy anxiety and others "part" this out, customizers here will be tripping over each other to gobble up the head sculpts. On ebay the heads will hit $100+ (just a prediction)

Overall, I'm sold on it so I bought one. It's the best (official release) Indy figure I've seen to date. I'm usually in Hot Toys' corner, but the sculpt of their Indy was a clear definite miss.

If they actually charge that much (which would be ridiculous) , people might as well go and buy the whole figure.

I think it might not be far off. Not for any nefarious reason - it's just that this figure comes with so little that anyone who normally part out figures will have to overprice everything to turn a profit.

I think the sculpt looks really good, not sure why people say it doesn't look like Ford ....it's just basically everything else.
The neck is way too long and way too thick.
The hat is too wide and too high.
The shirt is less distressed than the one that came with the HT release years ago. Why is he so clean?
The one arm/sleeve of the shirt is also too baggy.

These days people are just stupid. They ask for it when they pay $80 for a banner body. Apperently people pay the $100 for headsculpts so next time they will be 110 etc.

Thus the reason I pretty much don't get anything any more.........this hobby is nearing an end for the casual collector

The sculpt has "glimpses" of Indy, but not 100% there. Its a lot closer than the HT though. And that ignoring the hat size, and the undersized sculpt. I dont think people would have this much of an issue if the price was $160. But $230 + shipping?? For THAT price, you expect more. I cancelled mine, and im a lifelong indy fan. The best 1/6 indy so far is still the HT indy, with a custom Mj Choi sculpt.

Yeah but... add $175-300 for the custom HS with a decent custom painter. A lot of dosh to get a proper Indy. However, I have issues (albeit small issues) with each of the custom Indy heads. I can't believe I'm saying this but SS TOD Indy wins out.

I've seen repaints of Trevor Grove's first 1/6 Raiders Indy that look as good or better than that custom above. :dunno

To each their own.
