Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

Honestly, I wish they made these repaints improve significantly on the original design. For example, one obvious limitation of the Striker suit was being unable to do anything with its hands, since they were encased in the mounting block for the pneumatic hammers. Adding some means of exposing the hands/repulsors would be a meaningful improvement, instead of just a new colourway.

The hammers come off.

The easiest pass of all the IM figures up to now.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

I think it looks great. A possible buy down the road. Mostly, I just enjoy the HT's facebook page comments when new Iron Man repaints come out...

Instant buy for me. Love the colors.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

I don't buy all the Iron Men but this one looks great in green, pops much more than the regular version.

Wasn't a fan of Striker, not a fan of this. Can't see this selling well either since Striker didn't.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS277 - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI) Collectible Figure

It's a hot toys, comma, exclusive. It's just a translation/meaning thing. It's an exclusive hot toys figure for a hot toys sponsored show.

It's like people gotta find something to ***** about with everything. This isn't the first time that wording has been used. It's not the only company to do it.

There was no "bitching", I was just poking a little funat the verbiage.

Man, usually I'm on your side on these boards, but you might be wound up tighter than Threepio's rectal servos ;)

The hammers come off.

They do, but it's not much good because the hands are still hidden behind plastic plates so you can't pose them. At least that's what the video reviews I've seen indicated.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

Well if someone was wanting a visual definition of the word ugly, looks like Gamma Mark XXVI is it.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

It's a cool looking armor, and if the hammers come off and it's just fists underneath then I'd like it a lot more.

That is mostly true - even with the hammers off, the hands have very limited mobility.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

it looks even uglier with the hammer off, the hand guard underneath is not removable!
not HT's fault though, it's marvel design after all.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Iron Man 3: Gamma (Mark XXVI)

I guess I'm in the minority on this. The only thing that stops me from buying any IM Armor is $$$.$$. I wasn't able to start collecting until Avengers Mk VII.
That was my first brand new purchase. It also happens to be the best of the armors (IMO) because of it's options and it was the first armor with 90degree repulsor hands. This is what I now consider their baseline. Since then, I'm buying them all. The only ones missed were Igor ($$$) and Mk XLIV Hulkbuster. ($$$$) I just couldn't afford them because of their size. Everything else that's been released, I've bought. I only have Iron Patriot for Rhodey, but will get the diecast WM Mk I. If it's an Iron Man, I'm getting it.

I'm with you bro! But honestly don't know how long I can hang on, lol. I will buy for the simple fact that I want em all. But it's getting harder to keep up, especially with other releases. Glad I never got into star wars, lol. I know absolutely nothing about it
