Re: I'd Buy That for a Dollar! - Figure Deals, discounts and what ever else saves mo

Nice! They are a good shop. they double box their figures from when i have purchased pieces from them in the past.

Poor Pilot Luke, they must have received about 100% cancellations. Shocking that is on firesale from pre-order.

Why is that thread closed here in SSF?

People keep quoting prices that no longer exist. Do you have to convert the prices to see what the US price is?

On PC? If you create an account, you can have it where all prices reflect us currency. There's also a tab at the top that you can select currency conversion. There's still really good deals on there.

Certainly not pro_design1's level of hauling, but I'm excited. First time I've gotten two Hot Toys figures at one time. Packed well, shipped quick and arrived arguably faster than my packages from Sideshow.

My Stormtrooper just arrived. Purchased before the sale but still thrilled as it was ~$200 and it's sold out everywhere else.

Were any customs tax applied to packages from PC? How much?

Re: I'd Buy That for a Dollar! - Figure Deals, discounts and what ever else saves mo

Because people were giving critiques on the figure that were not in alignment with this board and its sponsors.

The board isn't sponsored, and I'm pretty sure it was closed because people were being obnoxious with their 'criticisms'.

Well, there is click through revenue made when people use the links above on the site banner. If there are cancellations on figures that would end said revenue. We can call it what you want but when a pay service board is shutting down threads its for a reason. Fits the definition in my opinion.

Sponsorship[1] is a cash and/or in-kind fee paid to a property (typically in sports, arts, entertainment or causes) in return for access to the exploitable commercial potential associated with that property.

So for those that have received a notice/tracking number from PC, how long did it take to get to the US? I received my tracking on Sunday but since it left Melbourne Australia the current status is "unknown".

ECI shipping goes from Australia's Post office Express to USPS EMS Express. Once it leaves Australia you would want to take the same Tracking number and place it in the USPS web site to track it from the US side. This is the process for any International order you want to track.

Hope this helps you

Truthfully any item coming into the US using USPS will not have customs fees. If you ship using DHL or Fedex then you WILL have to pay customs fees unless marked at gift with very low value. If when your items hits Fedex / DHL customs , they decide to open the box up and look on Ebay for a value , they can base customs fees on a "market Value". Basically never have a company ship Fedex or DHL and you wont have customs fees.

If you mean the tab where it shows the US flag, it shows that. I'm at work right now and I can't view the site because it's considered foreign so it's blocked. Anyway, if the price they show for the Jawas is US pricing, that's high.

Re: I'd Buy That for a Dollar! - Figure Deals, discounts and what ever else saves mo

Everyone was able to get great deals cause they had a 20% off sale on in-stock items. Seems as though they'll have a 20% off sale again around Xmas time, the prices fluctuate cause of the dollar and when they were able to lock in prices it seems, so some newer items (and pre-orders) might not get as great a deal as some of the figures announced last year, but the 2-pack stormtrooper is still on the site for $399 shipped to CT--don't know anywhere else that even has them, and to me that's a pretty good price--I wouldn't expect every item to be a great deal though or you'll be disappointed. Also, the site is glitchy right now and isn't correctly showing the pricing in USD until checking out on PayPal.

Anyone else having problems with the usd conversion?
Yeah, it's being screwy, but if you know you want something and start going through the PayPal process you'll see the actual total reflected in USD. Even though the Stormie set showed $545 shipped on the site, those were AUD and it went down to $399 US on PayPal for me. Usually it works though.
