I hate to say this but i agree the body really should be the same as Batman's.

newbie question but what is the most muscular body that would be compatible out there?

I might be mistaken but if you don't mind him getting super beefy, I'd try putting him on TTM20. Its thick neck might also match well with SSC Supe's jaws.

The body on General Zod is similar to the TTM20 but has a longer, slender torso, slender arms and thighs. It is slightly taller than the Terminator figures, and is the body being used for my Darth Vader, is to me the best muscle body on the market. Hot Toys Roadblock is relatively cheap and is a great choice.

There's an ACI Gladiator body that might work too. I think I'm going to paint the neck and chest on my extra SS Bats body and use it.

I wish we could see a close up on belt, I have a feeling to give him a hot toys muscle body might be too much for belt. I need to see if i can just detach buckle and glue it onto some yellow leather.

Another one.

REVIEW: Sideshow Collectibles/Hot Toys Superman Sixth Scale Collectible Figure | Comicbook.com

Wow he looks so tiny with a big head. I hope this isn't what we are getting

Does anyone know if Sideshow will be making any other versions of Superman or is this it?

That's only the definitive classic 1/6 Superman, if you are ok with it looking like Chris Reeve. Don't get me wrong, I grew up with the first 2, so I have a huge nostalgia for them, but personally (just like Batman), I don't want my definitive Superman to look like a specific actor or from a specific movie. Personally, I think the headsculpt looks great, I'm good with the emblem as well. The waist is a little thin, but so is the 1/6 Batman's, which is what I'd want in a comic representation anyway. For a comic figure, I wouldn't want real-life person proportions. My only concern is the neck. From some angles, the neck looks too long, from others, it looks fine.
Yeah no worries I get'cha, & fair enough of course. I'd love to see the Neal Adams era art realized in figure form - that'd be my ultimate comic Superman (I think someone posted a pic earlier).. but yeah. This figure ain't a great representation of anything really. :lol

..case in point:

I mean, it's a badly futzed figure there, against a white background.. but still.

Pretty damn average SSC.. pretty damn average.

Ouch.

Looks like my SS 12" DC collection begins and ends with Batman...
