I don't remember Cavill ever looking particularly tall in MOS. Certainly not 6'6". He'd look like a giant towering over most people if that were the case. Take a look at this picture with Cavill and Adams about to kiss. Adams is listed as being 5'4" and even if she's wearing heels, which I doubt she was in that scene, or is standing on a box to make her appear taller she'd still only be 5'6" or 5'7" and it doesn't look like Cavill has a whole foot over her here. Also, Charles Roven, one of the producers of MOS and Batman v Superman recently talked about Affleck and his 6'4" frame and how they liked that about him because they wanted a Batman Superman could look up to. So if they somehow made Cavill 6'6" in MOS are they going to make Affleck 6'9", 6'10" to compensate?

Adams would be standing on a box at least 5 inches tall in that scene, or Cavill is standing in a ditch. In close up scenes like this they have to alter the height difference as a 9" gap would be too great and both would not fit in the same frame.

I doubt he was 6'6" in the film, but could have been 6'3" -6'4".

I don't have a problem with Superman being that large though, he is Superman after all.

Exactly. Superman didn't seem to tower over anyone in the movie. He was about the same height as Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and he wasn't particularly taller than any of the soldiers that surrounded him at any given moment. I have an Enterbay Michael Jordan (who is 6'6") and it is correct at about 13". Now who would make the argument that Cavill Superman is as tall as MJ? That would mean that most of the actors in the movie are B-Ball player height! People just want to justify HT's wrong scaling with this line of figures.

I think I'm over this MOS line, bargain price or not. I'll wait for the Batman v. Superman line and hope they get the scale right.

I'm pretty sure Superman's official height is 6'3" or 6'4". Same as Batman so neither should tower over the other.

Cavill is listed as 6-1, Reeve was 6-4, Affleck is 6-4, Bale is 6-0. Are we going by actors' real heights, the heights of the characters according to lore or the heights as envisioned/preferred by the director/writers/producers/creative teams?

Yet love figures with big hands, but cry about height :wink1: relax everyone just stirring the pot.

Now that you mention it...dem hands.

Picked up my Supes today for $125 with free shipping using the Cyber Monday discount code! Couldn't pass him up any more at that price. If there are any fence sitters left, today is your day!

P.S. Also Jor-El for $137.59 and Zod for $151.19. Probably still crazy high prices for what they are, but compared to the INSANE prices we are currently happily paying, can't really complain!

Good luck!

Jor-El and Zod for their discounts aren't too bad, but I personally feel Superman's the best figure and has more to offer, I love that suit. I decided to get him as well on flex pay, probably one of the best deals next to Iron Patriot. Can't wait to get him in 2015 :rock

I figure the movie may be mixed to people, but the design is just so cool I couldn't resist.
